What do you use for a bookmark? Or are you a savage that doggy ears pages?
Personally I use napkins, tissues, post it notes and sometimes I rip out the first page of the book and use that. My wife makes fun of me because she pays for bookmarks and it's like a fashion accessory for her but I use toilet paper or a CVS receipt.
What do you normies use?
If i ever left a book face down, it would get closed, put away or eaten by my dog.

Yea we trained her to put away books.
I came up with this, works pretty well but I made them too thick, I'll try a thinner board/paper next time

A bunch of bookmarks I got from bookdepository over the years, but even a piece of paper will do. Every now and then I think about getting a $10-20 one but I’d rather spend it on a book. Also I have a lot of EL’s and LOA’s so I use the ribbon there

no one does free bookmarks anymore. i get a free microfiber cloth (that sucks) from the place i get my glasses anytime i purchase something but no one cares about free bookmarks anymore.
this is a true tragedy, and probably the worst thing to happen since 9/11.

i use a sharpie and just cover up the words i've already seen

I found some ribbon out of one of the books someone was using, they passed away before I found it and used it.
I think it's just cut from some gift wrap ribbon, like pic related.

I just tear a piece of paper and use it as or a bookmark, or a recipet if I have one near me.
This is a nice idea, looks good anon. I have some gunpla boxes, might try and make a bookmark out of them.
I tear out a page when I'm done reading it, so I have never had the need for one.

My bookmarks are:
1. A patch I was supposed to sew on my sleeve in the army but didn't
2. Some really worn down piece of sleek paper from the post office
3-10. Various receipts
The 1st I use for the book that's my main read, 2nd is for my secondary read (reading during eating, on the toilet, during commutes etc.) and the rest are miscallenous
I make my own, not like it's hard to do.
Cut some printer paper down to size and fold it in half.
Once i bought an used book from thriftbooks and inside its pages was pic related. It became my favorite bookmark, its the only thing I use. I am Unironically obsessed with it, if I ever lost it I would probably kill myself

I have a memo block near where I usually sit, I just grab a sheet from it whenever I find myself needing to mark my progress in a book.
