Remember if you're not moving forward, you're going backwards, so if you don't hit your KPI of what you deem a succesful, challenging day, then take 10 seconds to scribble down you did not hit your target and then try again the next day.
Please do what this anon says. It WILL matter. Don't get wrapped up in forcing yourself to have a complete paradigm shift, you'll only stress yourself out. >t. struggling with bipolar II
Because so many greats in history get baptised through fire to realise their potential and change the world for the better - nothing to say that anon can't do the same
>nothing to say that anon can't do the same >laying in bed all day everyday for 5 years and counting with complete anhedonia, no friends doing nothing?
Hope requires courage - It's too easy to let the past dictate the future. Anon will be who they are; if tomorrow they decide to sow their wheat despite knowing the weeds of 5 years of lost potential will grow as well, then each year they will harvest taller, stronger plants till the weeds eventually pale.
At which point he has enough to provide his contribution to society in a positive way - in which case the sky is the limit if he continues challenging himself - we are on /lit afterall
OP challenge your identity with min/max books on humanity - Biographies of the Greats then to something like 'Ordinary men', it'll help towards what you are capable of, and the cost of being idle and being dependent on the environment.
P.S Don't forget about functional medicine to mitigate the damage of your depression - if you have chronically been in bed I imagine your vitamins and minerals will be absolutely tanked - get on 4k Vit D + K2 asap, quit any booze / drugs, start eating high fibre veg like sweet potatoes, and know that you do have friends cause I decided that we are lol - and no doubt many in this thread will be your support network as well.

You're bitter because you have a fixed mindset, that's it - Everything I suggested OP to think about is constructive and pragmatic
Au Rebours (Against Nature)
He doesn’t exactly just lie in bed but there is a considerable about of him just daydreaming while sitting down.

Take control of your life. It’s incredible how things improve once you feel purposeful and motivated

The solution is to do it even if you have no steam left, even if you are in pain, depressed, anxious or unhappy. You just do.

I have been suffering from this too. Things that should be exciting or desirable are just relief that they're over for me. Don't know what to do.
Find a hobby, an honest hobby, and start doing it mindlessly. Even hiking or some shit. We need flow state to have a will to live not even joking.
Why not just throw in the towel and KYS? That's what I've decided on
