Books on how to eliminate desire for love?

I have gotten rid of lust completely, but erasing the desire for love feels really difficult. Maybe because love has positive connotations, unlike lust. I don't want sex, I want a woman to love me, hold my hand, cuddle and talk to me. I can't find a way to remove this desire and it is making my life difficult. How do the monks do it? Is there any written text on it?

        Literally homosexual.
If you've already stopped watching porn, your mind should be healing, and within a few months you'll find women who are actually within your league attractive and can stop being a homosexual and go have sex and find love.

Sure, whatever, I'm also a slave to clean drinking water, so I make sure I have it so I can have an enjoyable life, same romantic love.
Make your cringy homosexuality as virtuous in your own mind as you want, all you're doing is reinforcing the walls of the hell you are creating for yourself.

Do you have any idea how gay you sound? You’re on a literature board and you’re acting like some homosexual lonely romantic. Newsflash buddy, that girl you like hates your guts and is only being nice to you because she wants you to frick off from her. Hey! Also I hope you know that no one will ever want to “love you, hold your hand, cuddle or talk to you”. Because you’re being a homosexual on a IQfy board.

It really is the gayest thing I've read for a long time, gayer than literal gay sex.

That there are vastly more who didn't, and that your lust for world-historical achievement despite being just some guy spending time on imageboards is just another way that you hate yourself.

        Deadlifts and cardio. Now.

Maybe, but a lot of them were at a fork in the road. A choice between love and work, and they chose to pursue their work to reach greatness. They even say so themselves. This tells you that can sacrifice romantic love to become the best.

Same for Hegel - worked all sorts of sidejobs, partied with the other students, loved to dance, loving wife and children, frequently travelled to Italy to listen to cheezy operas, died at 61 and from his output you'd think the guy just spent 75 years doing nothing but focus on philosophy. Makes you wonder how much of that was just him being a mad genius vs a balanced life actually being good for your intellectual pursuits.

            >vs a balanced life actually being good for your intellectual pursuits.
It absolutely is, and disagreement comes from people who desperately want their unhealthy and immature lifestyles to actually imply that they're geniuses, depiste the fact that there is no proof of this purported genius apart from the toxic lifestyle that supposedly accompanies it.

Marinetti's novel Mafarka the Futurist has this as its stated objective, and many of his polemic essays ridicule and denigrate romantic love and cuddling.

    >When I told them ‘Scorn Woman! they all hurled foul abuse at me like brothel-keepers after a police raid! And yet it isn’t woman's animal value that I’m talking about, but her sentimental importance.
    >I want to fight the gluttony of the heart, the surrender of parted lips as they drink the nostalgia of twilights, the fever of comet's tails crushed and overlaid by distant stars, the colour of shipwreck. I want to conquer the tyranny of love, the obsession with the one and only woman, the strong Romantic moonlight bathing the front of the Brothel.

The question shouldn’t be how to not love. It should be how to love everyone as much as you love an object of your sexual desire.

I did not crave love until I learned the word for it. On your way to work you see a young couple flirting in the park. You reach office and you hear people talking about their partners. You get home and you load up a movie with a romantic scene, or you go to some feels thread on /wsg/ where you see people cuddling, or you watch porn, or you watch some romcom anime, or you check facebook and see your former classmates marrying, or you check twitter, tiktok and you see a man and a woman doing couple things together etc. etc. There's a reason monks live like hermits and not in society. Tesla and other volcels buried themselves in work, and probably lived hermit-like lives anyway, and even they did not always escape those feelings.
    >Although he told a reporter in later years that he sometimes felt that by not marrying, he had made too great a sacrifice to his work, Tesla chose to never pursue or engage in any known relationships, instead finding all the stimulation he needed in his work.

It's probably impossible to escape that need to love or be loved because you are constantly exposed to it, constantly assaulted by reminders of something you could have, but you don't. Humans are social creatures and they crave the same happiness they see in others from their environment. The only way to escape it while still exposed to this would be to get burned so hard from a relationship that it sours the desire entirely.
I don't have any advice to give you because I fell down the same hole and I can't get out myself. Instead I'll leave you with my own personal anecdote:
The first year of Covid quarantine, my schedule would involve working 9 hours remote, cooking, doing push-ups, reading the greeks and playing games. That was the best year of my life, mental health wise. The next year I finished the greeks and dabbled in romance novels instead, as well as romantic fanfiction and whatnot. 6 months later I was at my most miserable and lonely point in my life. Now I watch teenage romance anime on the regular and you'll find me in every tfwnofg or doomer threads around. I've realized it's poison but I can't stop because I have nothing else to fill my life with. Do what you will with this information and I hope you'll be stronger than me.

Spending all your time alone has seeded this overwhelming romantic desire in you. Once you accept the romantic dream as a product of loneliness attempting to transcendence itself, you'll find it perfectly manageable. Mabye spill some lust and the dream will lessen.
