He was himself both of those things. His revolution wasn’t even legitimate, he just killed and destroyed until a third of everyone there was dead. Ho Chi Minh actually has enough historical clout worth admiring, maybe you need to switch teams.

Ho Chi Minh was an imperialist who wanted Viet Cong domination of SEA.

Just like Mao wanted Chinese domination of East Asia? Just like Stalin/Kruschev/Brezhnev wanted Russian domination of Europe? History speaks for itself. One was a lunatic, the other was a hero who became the sole exception to the ‘le communism has never worked!!’ crowd. But instead of having any real principles, you’d rather pretend to like a genocidal maniac to be edgy and provocative on a chechen cave diving forum

All political agitators are generally based people in principle. They might have good intentions, but as you said: history speaks for itself. I've no doubt of Minhs good intentions. And I have sympathy for their plight against what was basically imperialist proxy incursion. But, what was his real deal? "Kill these people and if you're neutral you're complicit. Also, if we win, I'll lead." Same as the rest.
The only real "heroes" among mankind are the common folk.

Genghis khan was cooler. The only man to rape two whole continents. 75 million dead. Didn’t have to hide behind en vogue utopic ideology and fake class warfare. Just a man, his horse, and five hundred thousand of his glorious mongol brothers.

Intellectual institutions in my country have been used to create and maintain a pseudo-aristocracy. It is hard to look at leadership here and its relation to elite universities and think that Misc Pot was completely wrong.

The trick was that Misc Pot and his cronies became the aristocracy, their execution of the intellectual class was a way of consolidating power and removing any threats to their illegitimate fluke government.

I wouldn't mind that here. I'm more interested in seeing people who went to Ivy league schools and Stanford knocked down a few pegs rather than seeing something better created, which I;m not sure is possible.

I'm the exact opposite. Drones feel resentment towards the wrong targets whether its the wrong individuals or "systems" that they could never hope to topple. I resent the the correct people and want to see them knocked down a few pegs.

I've been posting edgy bullshit on here for years. I have never advocated for terrorism or violent action, and I'm not doing that now. I don't believe I have the right to cause harm to anyone, and if I did, I believe terrorism is ultimately counterproductive.
All I'm saying is that in a fantasy world where I had the institutional power necessary to do so, I would collectively demote the pseudo-aristocracy these institutions have created. I don't even want. physical harm to come from them; I just want them to be barred fro holding office or managerial positions.
