Books to become a Bloomer

I don't read pessimist stuff, I don't read news, I live in the real world, touch grass, etc. Still I absolutely loathe everyone. Yes, it's the usual I'm too smart and developed cliche story.

Is there any literature/philosophic viewpoint to come out of this or am I doomed to be a prideful husk forever?

    Read "Doomer" Books.
    Pessimism isn't mutually exclusive with seeing the world in a positive light.
    The world is beautiful thus beautiful girls read books

      >Pessimism isn't mutually exclusive with seeing the world in a positive light.
      By most definitions that is precisely the dichotomy.

      I have read Doomer books before, the point of the first sentence was to dispel the idea that my condition is because of consuming negative media or caring about things that do not really concern me. I really do find the ordinary (social) world disgusting. I can enjoy nature and solitary activities, but obviously it's not enough for a social animal.

        no it's not. give me a definition.

        >the point of the first sentence was to dispel the idea that my condition is because of consuming negative media or caring about things that do not really concern me
        books aren't going to make you a different person, put your own thoughts into writing and identify what is it you wish to change and read according philosophy to convince yourself. that is if you believe to be in the wrong, if you don't think you are you will not change merely by reading books.

          >no it's not. give me a definition.
          The opposite is called optimism, seeing the world in a positive light.

          >read according philosophy to convince yourself
          I asked for recommendations didn't I.

            >The opposite is called optimism, seeing the world in a positive light.
            If we assume the world is evil we cannot conclude that it is not beautiful, seeing the world as beautiful is most definitely not seeing it a bad light

            >>read according philosophy to convince yourself
            >I asked for recommendations didn't I.
            >Still I absolutely loathe everyone
            Why?

            A => B
            B => ~A
            ???

            >Why?
            Yes, It's a real mystery why I even bother.

            are you saying evil can't be beautiful or are you saying evil cannot be seen i a positive light?
            how much do you read exactly?

            >Yes, It's a real mystery why I even bother.
            Nobody can answer such a vague question, if you want recommendations identify the gripe you have with the world not merely the fact that you have one

            Depends entirely on what you mean by these terms, this is a useless discussion.

            >Nobody can answer such a vague question, if you want recommendations identify the gripe you have with the world not merely the fact that you have one
            I was mocking you because this conversation corroborates my world view which I'm trying to change.

      You will use communist tactics to deflect

      And other suggestions because you take yourself too serious

    The entire corpus of Plato, but realize he's a mystic. Then the wisdom books of the Old Testament. You figure out the rest.

      Old testament is interesting but not that useful. I haven't read all of Plato but I should.

      Read any of this, and stop being a troon

      I'll look into it. I've read Spinoza, Melville, Nietzche, etc already though.

        Not saying the whole Old Testament. Specifically the wisdom books. e.g. Ecclesiastes

          Ecclesiastes is only positive if one believes in life after death.

            That's why I told you to read Plato my nigguh. at this point, pick what gives you the best life. that's going to be the proof of what's right.

    I’ve not found one. Books themselves are a sort of de facto move away from real life. The only exceptions to this I can think of are religious books since their being religious would imply what’s contained in them transcends life itself but even that can imply a pessimistic view of this life in favor of another. I really cannot think of a another exception.

      The Brothers Karamazov is actually a Doomer book once you realize that Dosto uses Alexei as a cope while secretly agreeing with Ivan.

    "Prideful husk" ---> pic related.

    You do need to become a Christian and Jesus Christ will personally lead you out of your present state and into a state of grace, holiness, and happiness, if you are faithful (which He will give you the grace to be, but you do have to cooperate with that grace).

    Here are some good books for the journey:

    Yes, unironically read the literature on near-death experiences and realize that live really is all about learning to love.
