Can we reprogram brains to run computer programs?

Can we reprogram brains to run computer programs?
Brains are way more powerful than current computers, so imagine the potential if we managed to erase a monkey's consciousness and we could run windows 7 in them and play videogames or protein simulations or whatever

    >Brains are way more powerful than current computers
Not really. They're just a lot more efficient than computers at doing brain things. On the other hand, computers are a lot more efficient than brains at doing computer things.

lmao what a moron, trying to sound so smart hahahah
what are these "computer things" computers do that brains can't?

Just because your conscious mind can't know that answer that doesn't mean your brain doesn't calculate it all the time. Everything inside your brain are algorithms, and neural networks have to do calculations like that all the time

Well, you mouth-breathing moron, I didn't say "brains can't", I just said you're not gonna be implementing reliable and efficient logic gates efficiently using neurons.

You could have bird brains in your car that detect nearby trafic and a monkey brain to do autopilot

If you haven't seen it, go and read about the research paper where they trained neurons grown as a cell culture to function as a machine learning algorithm. There was a guy on youtube that tried to do it, failed, but I think the series is ongoing if you can find that.

What would even happen if the brain were to 'crash'? Would its head just fricking explode?

It crashes all the time, that's why there are safeguards, like delta waves, which literally defibrilate your neurons and make them go to work again

    They work differently.

We do not truly even know how brains work. I think like 5% is understood of the brain even by the smartest profs.

    <1% by medstudents.

It may be possible to create an artificial intelligence algorithm in the brain to greatly expand ones mental capabilities.
