i don't know, i think op is moronic from their pic and their request, because I've literally never configured or fiddled with mpv in the 10 years ive used it
why do you need an interface to watch video just use keybinds if you want to change your audio/subtitle track, loop the video, seek by frames, skip chapters, etc.
No, you cannot in general, the program needs to display many different images to get the illusion of motion, which is neccessary to experience the many types of videos.
mpv makes this possible by not freezing and blocking.
>MOV
Not sure what exact codec uses .mov, but there's no way this is anything recent, so there shouldn't be any issues with decoding. Might want to fix your shit or maybe even file a bug.

I use MPV with all the defaults. Simply because "it just works" unlike shit live VLC that couldn't display multiple subs back when I used it. No clue what you autists are going on about.
Whenever I pause in mpv the video framerate starts stuttering or lagging a bit. It's noticeable and I have to restart the vid. I only have these installed but do you think I should do a clean install or maybe just remove one of these? I don't know what's doing it.
I don't get the need of alternative mpv versions with some different GUIs. Please tell me what's wrong with the normal mpv, what do you need more? It has play/pause, seeking/progress bar, timestamps, chapter markings, audio track and subtitle settings. It has also lots of useful hotkeys for functions like screenshotting and deinterlacing. What are you missing from it? I think it's just perfect.
so true
Smplayer
right the frick here noobs
yes, it says "mplayer" in the name but you can use it with mpv too
have a nice day

paedo art

what's wrong with the default interface?
i don't know, i think op is moronic from their pic and their request, because I've literally never configured or fiddled with mpv in the 10 years ive used it
It's been obsolete since like 1975
fricking moron
Brothers how can I disable a keybind?
Just bind that key combo to something that doesn't work.
<key> ignore
You can add no-input-default-bindings to mpv.conf to disable all default bindings if you want to set everything yourself.
based, slimbox is objectively all you need
The default interface is the best
*AHEM*
literal spyware
IQfy is spyware

Obscene cope, you can literally just copy the best config file for your use-case.
OR I CAN JUST WATCH A FRICKING VIDEO
do you people even hear yourselves?

how about you?
why not just fricking watch the video why do you need a user interface?
That's terrible advice. He'll just come back to scream about some non-default setting. I've witnessed this quite a few times.
Yeah, mpv is the best for that. It's even in the name.
Celluloid.
I want something like this but for gtk3 please? I hate gtk3 so much.
A keyboard works pretty well. You could probably set up a remote control or something if you want the interface to be more like a television set.
Why does mpv has shitty performance for MOV files? the stutter is killing me
>MOV

autoloop.lua bookmark.lua mpv_crop_script.lua nextfile.lua
Run with --no-config or whatever the option is and see if that changes anything
>sudo apt install mpv
>double click movie
>watch movie
Why are you intentionally being moronic and over-complicating things.
Standard GUI is ok.
I never gave you anything
> Linux Mint + VLC
> Why make one's life harder when french dev solved everything for free
I don't get the need of alternative mpv versions with some different GUIs. Please tell me what's wrong with the normal mpv, what do you need more? I didn't ask you troon.
It's just another brand war bait thread
No its not the interface of MPV is dog shit tier
delusional
didn't ask
There's people that unironically like to watch the GUI.
I don't see the need, either. What OP is doing however, is what passes as trolling nowadays.
For me its MPC
>vlc users
>not thinking about the video breaking all the time
pick one
lol just use stock mpv and don't frick with it. it's already perfect.
>banding and blocking while scaled
