      What makes you think I've ever been to shitter? I just want to be able to read a book again. I literally have to read the same page over and over because my mind cannot focus on the text. Shit sucks man.

        Start writing summaries of paragraphs when you finish reading them, and you will notice when you're paying attention and when you are not since now you try to monitor your memory to write the summaries down. If a whole paragraph is too much, try to do the same but paraphrasing sentence by sentence. By doing this you should be able to improve your focus.

    1. Cut all caffeine, and other non-prescription drugs out of your diet.
    2. Get used to being bored, again. Walk for an hour, without listening to music, or taking out your phone. Take a shit without a book, or phone to hand. Run errands, without talking to people on Discord.
    3. Get on a bus, get a day ticket. Ride for an hour, to some place. Ride for another hour home. Bring no phone, or other entertainment, except a book, (or e-reader). Your first day trying this, you'll read for maybe a cumulative 30 minutes, over the course of two hours, but the lack of distractions, and alternatives means that you'll get more, and more focused with practice.

    Do all of this for about a month, and you'll have an attention-span again. I have ADHD, and won't be properly medicated for it, for another two days, but *frick* man. I went from not being able to read a full paragraph, to being able to read three or four pages, before I start zoning out, on bad days, and an entire chapter on good ones.

      It's good to experiment with this at least every few months. Everyone has a natural caffeine "cap," over which their body is storing the excess caffeine in their balls and slow-releasing it throughout the rest of the day and even into the night. The initial, obvious rush wears off, but you still have all that excess background caffeine jitteriness to burn off.

      If you keep operating over cap, you have so much caffeine in your balls that you just adjust to being constantly background restless. It becomes normal. It eventually gets so bad that you it affects your sleep.

      Doing a caffeine detox to reset once in a while is a good idea.
