Its already being sold and used in Chinese servers so this isn't something western media can deny. I can't wait to get my hand on one of these for storage

Huawei’s new magneto-electrical disk (MED) technology, known as OceanStor Arctic, is indeed a significant advancement in storage technology. It promises to use 90% less power and offers 3x more data density compared to traditional hard disk drives (HDDs). This technology is designed for archival storage and is expected to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) by 20% compared to tape storage solutions. The first generation of MED will have a rack capacity of more than 10 petabytes and power consumption of less than 2 kilowatts. It’s slated for international release in the first half of 20251.
The development of MED technology is part of a broader trend towards more energy-efficient and high-capacity storage solutions, which is crucial given the ever-increasing amount of data generated daily. This innovation could have a significant impact on data centers and the storage industry as a whole, offering a more sustainable and cost-effective way to handle large volumes of data2.
>This technology is designed for archival storage
So unusably slow for day to day use
Ok then sell it to me you fricking half alien half ape thing. Is all this bragging just compensation for small dicks?
>rack capacity of more than 10 petabytes
That's alright but not amazing btw.
Maybe double what you get with conventional 5TB 2.5 inch drives.
>congress
>our data cannot be stored on efficient disk they are a risk to our democracy
wait, it's only a competitor for tape storage? meh
Why do people make ChatGPT posts?
Based China. And people tell me how the west is progressive and Russia and China are regressing backwards.
How is progressive now? Take that homosexuals. Take that for all your Russophobia and all your endless wars and bombings
why insert russia here? russia did nothing, still same country with no new tech.
>who build rockets
>who build satelite
>who build gas that run's everything together
Elon musk.
HAH! that homosexual cannot do shit without technlogy by Russia
>Ching chong ping pong ding dong
lol
>Kung kong gung gong!
Yes yes, of course. Back to the factory i need new headphone.
MORE AID TO ISRAEL
More nets under the factories.
Yes, that is what the west will have very soon.
>More nets under the fACK-
>no asians
>no russians
>Since 1992, China and Israel have developed increasingly close economic, military and technological links with each other.[4][5][6] China is Israel's third largest trading partner globally and largest trading partner in East Asia.[7][8] Bilateral trade volume increased from $50 million in 1992 to over $10 billion in 2013.[9] Some commentators note similarities between the cultures and values of the two nations,[10] and their convergence of interests has made them natural partners.[11][8] China is one of the few countries in the world to concurrently maintain warm relations with Israel, the State of Palestine, and the Muslim world at large.[12]
Debunked by China
>"“China and Israel have a normal diplomatic relationship … the relevant country is clearly marked on the standard maps issued by the Chinese competent authorities,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said Tuesday in response to a question during a regular press briefing."
The israelite FEARS the chinaman
name 5 countries that are not economically close with china
Your own argument would be accepting the fact Israel and China have a close relationship.
>Some commentators note similarities between the cultures and values of the two nations
Is this a hate crime?
god fricking damn is this the best trolls the CCP can afford nowadays? Guess the Evergrande collapse is worse than I thought.
>45 minutes later
>still no reply
lol, lmao even
Everegrande is peanuts compared to the shitnado that's gonna come when Country Garden kicks the bucket.
you didnt answer the question and changed the subject. cheers!
>said the guy who invades a country because his bro was removed from office
>russia remains a progressive third-world country
good to hear
Just get an SSD it's even better.
Wheres 10TB SSD for $100?
>China claims
He took the vax? (literally me on the right, by the way)
>He took the vax?
>Dump him
>check blocks and files article

Call me when i can buy it on Ali Express and it is more reliable than Seagate. Until then it's chinkshit
Can't wait to finally start my 60 TB Raid 0 NAS. Thank you based China
>went from productive discussion to mutt seethe thread
sad
>productive discussion
>OP compensating for having a small dick is a discussion
>archival
Expect it to be slow as frick.
More a successor to tape drives than to hard drives?
If speed is your concern you should just use ssd. hdd will not provide the speed that ssd has nor will it be have the capacity that china's new drive will have. hdd will be the jack of all trade, master of none after this.
Conventional hard drives are still very usable in a NAS (especially when you add an SSD cache)
Yeah SSD's are great but still too expensive for larger storage with redundancy.
This "archival" disk might be 10 or 100 times slower than a conventional hard drive.
That is still OK for backups but not for normal use.
MEDs, now
its over
>magneto-electrical disks
It's tape, isn't it?
Cool. Can't wait until the year 2030 when it's affordable and made for consumers.
>Day 1000000000 of chink shills making shit up or exaggerating the shit out of minor tech advancement.
>Or it's wildly impractical.
>Prepare to be amazed at things that will never be available for regular consumers to buy!
I know I'm excited.
and if not the only reason they wont sell them abroad is:
1 They are just ssd inside and enclosure.
2 Stolen designs from someone else.
3 Both.

>China achieves super revolutionary technology
>And other fantasy tales
1 watt vs 10 watt
That's a massive difference though. Imagine having a rack full of 40HDD's using 40W total vs 400W.
I wish I could take China seriously in terms of tech advances as the underdogs of the modern day axis but I keep remembering how much crap technology has been churned out of China masquerading as advancements over the years. At least Germany had a good reputation as an educated and industrious people even back in the 1940s, China just does not seem to have that and get weird with this ego and face problem they have and the need to show off their mega city skylines like they're trying to create a faux high tech fortune cookie new york when everywhere else in the countryside outside of the tier 1, tier 2 cities that I see on Weibo, Douyin, WeChat, etc. looks like a fricking shithole slum with borderline moronic poor people. I just want China to be something more than flaunting crazy technological accomplishments that just turn out to be too good to be true or flat out lies, just showcase actual accomplishments and not bullshit marketing slop like what OP posted. Is that so much to ask? It just makes them look more stupid than I think a lot of good Chinese are.
>even back in 1940s
German language was lingua franca in Europe for centuries prior to the 19th century or the 20th century. It was the dominant country to produce arts, sciences, philosophy, math, religious works, etc. Your comment makes no sense in that regard, when you say you're surprised Germany had good reputation in 1940s. The WW2 had germans pumping out advanced technology at breakneck speed. Our rocket system came out of that. German physicists worked with Americans to create the nuclear age.
Before, they fake their accomplishment to upsell themselves. Now, they have another reason to fake it to smokescreen US sanction
I don't think you understood what I was trying to say at all. What I was trying to say is that the allies considered the Germans industrious even when portraying them as total monsters in allied propaganda.
>the country that fabricates fake eggs
I don't know what the frick to expect anymore bro

>China
>promise

How did we lose the competitive edge American bros? China is even catching up to us on AI, and they have a larger dataset to train their AI from because they have billions more people and they have less rights in regards to privacy and freedoms from government and private company intrusions. Are we going to lose the tech war to China bros?
how much longer till the current ssd prices drop ? nice dubs by the by
