Islam only has any ‘honor’ for Mary at all because Muhammad stole texts about the Theotokos and incorporated them into the Qur’an, of course stripping them of every reason why Mary is so highly revered by Christians. The Mu'tazila just had to be autistic about it and start an inquisition, ruining it for the rest of us who believe in the created nature of the Qur'an.
