Winter is almost here, what are you reading for maximum comfiness?
I'm looking to get a whole bunch of books to read by firelight with a comfy coffee. What would you recommend?

The Magic Mountain by Mann
Thoreau’s essay like A Winter Walk
For Whom the Bell Tolls by Hemingway
A long Dostoyevsky novel
The Dead by Joyce
A dreary Dickens’ novel
Mason & Dixon by Pynchon
i noticed this issue as well! so glad i'm not the only one dealing with this anon
>The Magic Mountain by Mann
How is it? Considering reading it soon.
Autumn just started, dumbass. I'm reading Dracula.
How far are you? Are you liking it?
I'm on chapter XIII and everyone who said it was boring are dead wrong.
I meant reading as in "I'm going to be reading", sorry. I plan to start on the first of October, so just a couple days from now. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it, though.
They arent Im sorry to tell you anon. The first 100ish pages are legitimately among the greatest literary horror ever written. Its the middle 300 that mostly drag (though there are some cool spots, the ship part is kino) and then it picks up in the last 100. If the middle 300 pages were condensed down into 100 it would be a fantastic novel. Its still a very good novel as is though.
Same here brother. I am so happy we got away from the paid by the line model.
The ending is a little abrupt and hurried too I seem to remember. It’s been a long time since I read it but I strongly remember the final encounter being so brief and rushed, and the beginning being great
I just archaeogenetic studies
Maybe some Heracleitus on the side
Is hot chocolate with marshmallows that good or is it just a burger meme?
Circumcized burger meme
chamomile is the shit
or lemon & honey
Where are you from that you haven’t had it?
Don't make me say it man. It'll attracted every anon who lives here and they're a bunch of c**ts. Let's leave it at third world country.
Brazil? Romania?
Unless it snows in your shit hole don't bother even trying hot coco, it's just not the same
It's good, but it's a meme. It's a sweet, warm drink you can give your children as a treat. Adults think of it fondly because they remember having it as kids around Christmas time.
It’s tasty. Especially if you like the sweet stuff. Was unaware this was considered an American thing, pretty sure the western Euros do it as well. You’re not….you’re not from the THIRD WORLD are you?
Real hot chocolate with hand whipped cream is where it's at. Powdered cocoa and marshmallow is the packaged version
I live in florida so I don’t get to experience anything magical or cozy anymore.
I'll be reading a lot of Steinbeck novels for school. After that, probably Bleak House by Dickens and a collection of Sherlock Holmes stories
What about summer reads?
>t. argie
Unless you’re reading Heart of Darkness, reading is best during the cold, cozy months when it gets dark early and it’s too cold to go out.
Ecclesiastes
Gospels
Acts of the Apostles
Imitation of Christ
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
The Hobbit
