Not really a pasta, but I felt like the story more or less came from that style. Endless and seemingly genuine footage of Hell accessed through sketchy channels on the internet, generally referred to in the same way as things like Daisy's Destruction or Three Guys One Hammer. Lots of atmosphere like a good creepypasta should have, but definitely executed better than your typical greentext. I feel like it being (originally) stuck in a PDF circulated on IQfy kind of killed the chance for it to catch on, though I'm way past my /x/ days and I'm guessing creepypasta threads are more derivative than ever.
On that last point, are there any new creepypastas that have been notable? Or is it a dead genre doomed to be rehashed like and
We are getting old, bro.
I was also wondering why only youtube links are getting posted in a creepypasta thread
Nah, normally the average is low/mediocre, which is fair since there aren't enough submissions to reject/accept (IQfy doesn't really have that many people); it gives you a sort of slice of IQfy, which I found interesting for a while, but the appeal wore off apart from liking some of these notable pieces. That's why I started doing the best-of. There were enough issues that some really good pieces stood out, so it seemed worthwhile to collect the best together (I got people on IQfy to help pick) and improve the formatting/presentation. And to be fair that ended up being a significant number of pieces considering it was pulling from 12 issues (14 including photo books).
I'm in the last stages of editing the best-of, so keep an eye out in the next few months. It's obviously not on the level of "literary classics" even after selecting the best, but I do really like some of the pieces in it.
Pic rel is another good creepy one in the best-of, though I wouldn't call it creepypasta-ish. It's interesting to note that the authors of this one (Dog Killer) and Computer crime were one-offs; never saw them again in &, though there were a handful of good/decent regulars.

I like SCPs, they're usually cool. All they have to do to win me over is not suck. I listened to this recently
which was pretty cool.
I'm also a fan of this I recently read:
https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-6448
which feels pretty creepypasta-ish.
When it comes to classic creepypastas it's weird, the ones I remember most fondly aren't objectively good stories, but the reader did a really good job with the production. There's a few that come to mind from when I was like 14, but if I went back and listened to them again they'd probably be awful. I remember "dogscape" being one of the weirder concepts, not sure if that's creepypasta or just grotesque amateur fiction.
Can't remember the name but it's about an autistic kid obsessed with making creepy youtube poops and his friend is like "you're being so edgy, dude", then he goes back to him years later and discovers the autist killed his parents and then wired himself into a cartoon of himself on the TV.
Also, the M show.
I don't know if anyone remembers this one. It was posted on here a number of years back and it was one anon's short story. It's about this young girl who makes a pact with an old creepy guy who takes her to his secret torture sex dungeon buried deep underground in the woods and subjects her to the most horrifying kinds of rape, indignity and disfigurement on her possible. This goes on for years and eventually the guy recruits another girl who he starts to favour over the original girl and the guy and the second chick (who the guy also rapes and abuses) abuse and torture the first girl for years and years in this underground Saw-tier dungeon when finally one day the second girl and the guy entomb the first girl in concrete with feeding, breathing and defecation tubes and the story ends with this poor girl facing a reality in which the rest of her life is spent encased in concrete until eventually, some day, her feeding/breathing tube is filled with concrete and she dies forgotten and alone. Anybody know the one I'm talking about??

I remember there was this one on an angelfire website called Ted the Caver and it was written like a dudes blog of finding something weird and scary in a cave but i dont remember what the specific thing was
Its almost as good. Even tho i'd heard about it alot since i first began collecting creepypasta recordings in 2013, i never listened to TTC until 2018, & it quickly became one of my favs
used to listen to bunch of some ordinary gamer videos when I was younger. some of my favorites of him.
%3D
there's another guy I used to listen to called Davetheuseless, his videos were mostly comical and filled with inside jokes involving George Jetson who suck balls.
he seems to attract a lot of weird people, someone trying to dox him or something, some weird drama.
there was this one troony guy I heard relevantly recent, made really good recording of these horror stories. I forgot what the titles were, but one had a rat king, another about a doll made for school that was just stolen, another was about some disorder. they were all realistic, like, especially the doll story, felt something that could happen. and the way he read them really elevated the story, like the one where she's just reading about a disorder, he read with in a frantic voice, adds to it. just good stuff
Not sure if it counts as a creepypasta, but I like The Beribboned Door a lot (three parts)
https://www.thetasteofstatic.com/work/the-beribboned-door-part-one
Honorable mention to Pale Luna as well
i always liked this one, it's entertaining and the world is particularly interesting:
this stands out from a lot of the greentexts i've seen:
Zoomers listen to creepypastas on YouTube? Kids really can't read damn

point out?
The Hell stream story was fantastic.
To contribute: Q Fake Documentary on YouTube has that delicious Noroi mockumentary creepypasta style that the Japanese excel at
wonderful story, is Amp normally that good?

This is great but I wish there was slightly less occlusion - it begins to stand in its own way.
creepypasta readings have existed for a really long time
Any of the ones on thelittlefears youtube channel.
Goatman and the one where the schizo guy won't open his door then eyes
>where the schizo guy won't open his door then eyes
This, Candle Cove, and Russian Sleep Experiment.
The one called "Russian Sleep Experiment". In my defense, I was 13 years-old at the time.
Never heard of it, sure you didn't imagine It?
aiiiiiiieeee nooooo skinwalk-
The Michigan snow angel one stuck with me for a long time. Probably because I'm from Michigan.

Oh shit I totally remember that one with the tv. Dang, let me know if you find the name.
https://fearfic.fandom.com/wiki/Lost_Episodes/Sid%27s_Video
Lost Episodes / Sid's Video. Was lucky that it's a very specific premise.
Idk if it counts, probably not, but salad fingers was creepy and disturbing
I just remember dogscape. I spent hours reading SCP though, if that counts.
oh to have that childish fascination again
these are decent
Darling. Dear. Sweetie.
Please clean your screen.
whatever the GOAT reads tbh, he can make FNAF slopfics sound professional

that sounds pretty hilariously moronic anon lmao, why would she agree to that?
Just sounds like someone's fetish.

a spooky boulder & a bunch of ancient cave drawings that indicate they're at the mouth of hell
That kinda reminds me of The Nameless City by Lovecraft.

I like stuff like pic related more than normal creepyastas, honestly.
Bump for creepypasta that isn't a youtube link
I liked the one about the dog universe.
Also the one about the guy on the subway travelling to a parallel world.
And who could forget the Calgary Gideon Keys
MY PREDILECT «CREEPYPASTA» IS ONE ENTITLED «LYEFORD, WEST VIRGINIA».
