Sorry but that's not a valid argument. >b-but my fee fees
Cope.
>Determinism is incompatible with free will
No it isn't. It's literally exactly what you expect environments attached to a free-will to look like. The people making these threads... sheesh.
IT'S OK FOR ME TO CHOOSE EVIL BECAUSE MUH FREE WILL ISN'T REAL. fricking morons.
It's true though. Never heard of abortion? Since women are npcs they can't choose on their own. The decision must hence be a manifestation of the unborn child's free will.
An effect can only be the result of a cause, a cause would itself need to be a *different cause* to render a will different from the expected material behavior but then thats a different person.
I’d only have an issue with not having free will if I had some sort of machine that could accurately calculate my future. That doesn’t exist, so my lack of free will is inconsequential

most freetards are christcucks
even your picture says "free will doesn't exist but we are still free (because jebus said so in the biblerino)" (not true btw)

It's not my pic and I'm not the anon who posted it. This point is indeed moronic. Free will does exist as a fundamental property of the universe.

Shove your strawman up your homosexual ass. Those are supertautological properties of the universe, nothing to do with religion.

christcucks have nothing to do with religion either
While most of those points are true, some are wrong or self-contradicting. This whole argument is written very poorly. The author has the right idea but is lacking in IQ.
1a : a theory that the will is free and that deliberate choice and actions are not determined by or predictable from antecedent causes. >b : a theory that holds that not every event has a cause.
2 : the quality or state of being indeterminate especially : unpredictability.
In layman term: some things are predictable, some are random, thus allowing free will to be a random thing that spawns predictable things.

Free will is not a random thing. Free will is acausal self-determinacy enacted by an agentive telor via SCSPL.

every random thing is has self-determinacy
its still random and its still a part of the world

You are confusing the dice with the person rolling the dice. The result of the throw is random, the decision to roll isn't.

>the decision to roll isn't
okay then free will doesn't exist
Here is what I meant when I made this thread >if determinism, then free will >if no free will, then no determinism
You're rertarded. There are three modes of causation: Determinism, randomness and free will. Each of them produces causal chains which quickly converge.

oops, i meant >if determinism, then no free will >if free will, then no determinism
so basically you are saying that you dont have free will
Determinism is dogmatic mystical religious belief with no basis in reality.
this but for free will
didn’t you make this same thread yesterday? lame
Lame? No, determemenism!
https://warosu.org/sci/thread/S14522579#p14523540
It seems that yesterday's thread was eliminated from the archive, but that thread pretty thoroughly canvasses the topic.

IT'S OK FOR ME TO CHOOSE EVIL BECAUSE MUH FREE WILL ISN'T REAL. fricking morons.
>you WILL give up your free WILL
the deterministicgay is stuck at the 17th century
you can't choose not to be born
therefore free will doesn't exist
qed
Moron
you know I'm right, stay mad libcuck
There are billions of people who chose not to be born. You just never met them, precisely because they weren't born.
moron
It's true though. Never heard of abortion? Since women are npcs they can't choose on their own. The decision must hence be a manifestation of the unborn child's free will.
NPC is a synonym of normie
the problem of free will is a non-problem, just like consciousness.
only midwits obsess over it as if it mattered
it's a non-problem because it trivially doesn't exist
Agreed. Only midwits are upset about the trivial fact that the transcendental is not amenable to empirical methods.
transcendental is a christcuck buzzword that doesn't mean anything
This. It's time to cancel transcendental numbers.
>cancel
I like how you're implying christcucks aren't Black personlover libcucks who love trannies
And that's a good thing
Free will is incompatible with logic
An effect can only be the result of a cause, a cause would itself need to be a *different cause* to render a will different from the expected material behavior but then thats a different person.
Does it matter when you can't feel it anyway?
It still feels like you're making decisions even when they're predictable, so who cares.
I’d only have an issue with not having free will if I had some sort of machine that could accurately calculate my future. That doesn’t exist, so my lack of free will is inconsequential
meds. now.

Where is this from?
>stuff behaves predictably
so there is nothing free about will
>stuff behaves unpredictably
so there is no such thing as will
pls convince me i'm wrong; how is it a false dichotomy
>what is indeterminism
tell me more

randomness exists, as well as acceptable control over this
all we can do is increase the odds, that is control in my book
determinism is x tier
