Also remember to turn on DNS-over-https if you don't want your ISP to also spy on your every query. There's still the problem of unencrypted SNI, but more protection is more than less

I'm on Librewolf. Is it an issue if i leave the provider on default? Cause i'm not paying for VPN services.

Does that really do anything at all? What prevents your isp from just looking up the hostname of whichever ip you're connecting to?

That's not viable, some IP's won't have any domains attached to them and some will have hundreds

i don't want to rely on the browser to manage my DNS. I want that shit to be handled at the network level.

what are some good DoT providers?

I don't think the issue is with HTTPS you're getting redirected fine.

Mullvad DOH is free, also consider quad9. The defaults are fine though (if you consider CloudFlare trustworthy enough to handle your DNS traffic). Alternatively you could host your own.

Is AdGuard good? I don't want to explain AdBlock to my relatives and friends, so I just set up AdGuard for them.

Just send them the uBlock Origin page. It's just 1 button.

Most of them are normies or oldgays,
I just want to make their lives easier without making mine harder.

We run uBlock Origin at work and I never even heard the normies complaining about it.

Core functionality > user scripts > extensions
If you can make it happen with a config, do that. If not, try find/make a userscript for it. Extensions are the most dogshit out of the 3.

What year is this? Do people still ask this dumb question? HTTPS Everywhere hasn't been needed for years now, even the developers (EFF), announced that it has been discontinued.
