I remember one aphorism where he states that lying is superior to telling the truth because it is indiciative of will-to-power or something like that.

I am strongly convinced that your success as a thinker or artist depends on how muddy and nebulous your takes are. No one worries about straightforward takes. But willfully unclear authors like McCarthy or Nietzsche give the academics something to chew on. I believe strongly this is a conscious decision they make in order to gain notoriety.

I think you may be right. I mean, isn't Hegel the best example of that?

That's why Nietzsche flip-flopped on almost every position he ever held, and why it's impossible to make a dogmatic system out of his writings.
    >le Nietzsche thought this about this!!!
    >le Nietzsche believed this!!!
He also probably wrote the exact opposite at one time. Which of his stances was tongue-in-cheek? Intellectual exercise? Exaggerated bravado to prove a point? Who knows? You're not supposed to take everything he says as gospel.

Nietzsche doesn't flipflop as much as you imply, besides you can see him changing his own philosophy in real time, are you gonna imply Nietzsche at birth if tragedy is the same as at the antichrist? clearly not and he himself says it, and Nietzsche never wanted his philosophy to be systematic

For some reason I am inclined to say it was in The Anti-Christ, but I am not 100% on that.

What thinking? Nietzsche certainly didn't do much. Almost everything he says is moron nonsense, just what you'd expect from some loser who never achieved anything in life.

He managed to become one of the most famous philosophers in all of history, by what metric is that not achieving anything?

I mean, neetch definitely didn't think too highly of Socrates and had a mild hard on for the pre-socratic philosophers. It was only the dogmatic Platonic dick sucking over the centuries that cast a poor light on sophistry, which kind of makes your intended insult less of an insult.

        What an awful post.

Most of them were accused of impiety, which is also something neetch didn't care about. Unless you have something else to contribute to make your point it's still pretty lacking.

It means Nietzsche had the mentality of a woman

A pretty basic take-away would be something along the lines of making sure you're constantly re-evaluating your positions so as not to become complacent in your outlook; which in turn could lead to all sorts of dogmatic thinking.
I'd also maybe say he's telling the choir to sing sharp with his hyperbolising of it.

This is the same concept as "Abradolf Lincler," where a person has multiple perspectives, contrasting ideals, and contradicting objectives in their head.

It's a constant battle of trying to converge different philosophies together to make a single logical whole. But failing to do so because idealism and realisticism don't actually meld easily.
