How did this crotchety old fricker manage to be the best American short story writer since Flannery O’Connor while seemingly treating his writing to what amounts to a curious hobby?

He’s classified as SFF, mainly because his stories are most certainly not “realistic”. But it’s not SFF as you traditionally define it. Imagine Flannery O’Connor writing Looney Toons Scripts edited by Borges and you MIGHT have a general description of what reading him is like. Better yet, read himself homosexual.

Too many writers I want to read and reread before I’ll pick up one with a sci-fi bent. O’Connor wrote a couple good stories and her output is more or less identical; you’ve read one you’ve read them all. I don’t like Borges either. Not sold at all on this Lafderty guy

I can smell your homosexual Psued ass through my screen. Ignoring literature because it doesn’t fit neatly into the label of “realistic fiction” is the first true tell sign of a pseud.

I’m still mad at Gayman for gatekeeping his collection. Centipede is doing a good thing but limiting the books to a limited run and causing price gouging is lame. We need a new edition of Fourth Mansions

What about women? They say they mature faster.

women can have worthwhile things to say as young as 10-12, anything from "i won't tell my parents" to "it feels funny but i like it"

Should have taken up STEM and then transitioned to writing later in life. It’s the true path of real writers. NGMI now anon.
