>The problem is, what's Episode 2? It's a tiny gas station.
I feel like the show can work if they can write locations other than the gas station. For example, Spongebob and Regular Show focus on the MCs' place of work in the pilot, but the full series has multiple locations.
With this setting you can introduce any character you want as fodder for an episode. You could do a hundred episodes just based around some new character coming in, not to mention having recurring characters or episodes just with the main cast.
Having worked in a Gas Station, there is a lot to work with especially amplifying the insanity with that rapid energy like the pilot had and if plays off the oddity of the customers. There is a weird novelty of the experience, like I remember when the Power Ball lotto first hit the billion mark, and we had a line of people extending out the door at both the register and the digital kiosk for days and it was pandemonium. We had to have our second food-prep working only the Lotto Machine a few shifts, which put us down a whole register that whole week. Or when hunting season hit, and we suddenly had to change our whole breakfast menu (and even how early we started serving it) to accommodate what the hunters would want to buy. There's a lot of small jokes you can make from just the experience of working retail, with a lot of ways to embellish it larger if you have something specific to say beyond making fun of the absurdity of it all.
No cartoon where the main character is just... a wagie... and that's it... will ever be good
Never ever
Unless you have literally some kinda massive action or supernatural spin on it, no show that's just "haha my life le sucks amirite fellow kids?" will ever ever be funny
It's not that you CAN'T make jokes about a person working a wage job, the most skilled comedic writers can make anything funny, but the most skilled comedic writers usually just won't write such a subpar premise and those who do suck ass
you can either turn it into slice of life or just create scenarios that don't fall for supernatural yet exaggerated enough to be believable in this setting >ran out of gas >toilet problems >lottery addiction >ID verification
etc
this. supernatural is just easy mode and already borimg, same as horror so something more grounded would be more interesting because it can feel relatable not to mention recurring cast implicating it's either the only gas station im town or the one that you pass by on your way work or back home
>Unless you have literally some kinda massive action or supernatural spin on it, no show that's just "haha my life le sucks amirite fellow kids?" will ever ever be funny
You described OKKO, which still flopped, so, eh.

To be fair, Spongebob is about a wacky character making a situation that would otherwise be mundane a lot more fun, compared to "haha my life le sucks amirite fellow kids?" which would be if like, Squidward was the main character and spongebob didn't exist.
You can. You just need strong character dynamics.
If you think this is a boring show you just haven't actually worked at a service/gas/petrol station.
Its enlightening to see how people on the road are.
The art style is too unique for a modern cartoon series. An adult cartoon is meant to be mass-produced with cheap animation using mostly pretty static character models and scene layouts ala family guy or rick and morty. The entertainment comes from the writing, not so much the animation. You can't do that with this.
>dude... art like... sucks, okay?! everything is supposed to be cynical with a little bit of gore and swearing you aren't supposed to appreciate art or be optimistic!
>An adult cartoon is meant to be mass-produced with cheap animation using mostly pretty static character models and scene layouts ala family guy or rick and morty >meant to be
Says who? Out of touch executives? Good shit sells.
I wanna be able to draw like this but making art that's intentionally wonky/doodle-like that actually looks good is deceptively difficult
[...]
just calling out, coming from a place like in that pilot, the animator simply romanticize the idea of working in a gas station thanks to videogames and/or series simply due to le vibes or immersion or whatever the buzzword of the moment is but he never actually experienced what is like to face randos by yourself knowing you're pretty much in the middle of nowhere who can be volatile
i know it's not that deep but it bothers me how hypocrite these people are
her short is based off her childhood helping out at her family's gas station in Ohio, so you're just straight up wrong
>comes into a good time thread to squeal unprompted about his /misc/ obsession
You're an even bigger homosexual than the wannabe janny seething over fuzzy wamen

i just hate city slickers like them. it reminds me of night in the woods game just so they start saying stuff like "this town lacks gays or diverse food". it's bad enough that they openly admit to move here because lower taxes but surely won't last longer judging from who they'll vote

It's funny how these type of people can't pay attention long enough to realize how much the game fits with their ideology (that they hold when trying to fit in on the internet)
Possum Springs sucks because it's a dying nowhere town whose industries have failed or moved away and left the people behind
There's only like two gay guys in the town because it's a dying nowhere town, not San Francisco. Restaurants close and there's less food options because it's a dying nowhere town. The place is barely treading water between struggling businesses and young people trying to leave, but it's also all that many of the characters have
It's a tragic picture of the common struggles of the American interior, and one that doesn't simply say going off to study liberal arts will solve all of your problems

Nah, NITW is just a shitty game. Annoying protag, annoying main characters really, and a depresso expresso chain smoker.
Just a game for quirky weird zoomers with a really stupid ending. Talk about "shit taste".
This post smacks of projection on top of the unprompted bitterness
Everyone knows a job in the service industry probably sucks as often as not. That's why there's an appeal to lightening things up in fictional depictions. It's not just coast city libs that do this kind of thing
Furry comics have always been allowed on co, what was banned was nsfw discussion on it, not to mention co and furgays are an intersecting circle, frick even back in the board-tans days IQfynrad and /trash/ were together

Tuca and Bertie made the mistake of presenting itself as for women. Speckle, the guy, wound up being the crowd favorite.
Too busy getting tickled
She looks like she fricks human men.
she definitely has a boyfriend. all cute wagie girls have boyfriends that pick them up from work.
Shes hot
This is an absolutely great pilot, lots of energy, good pacing, good writing and relatable.
The problem is, what's Episode 2? It's a tiny gas station.
Shes too busy getting her feet tickled for ep 2.
Where are the paw pads?
I hate paw pads. I like feet.
Makes it easy for episodic stuff of people coming in and out.
Honestly, working nightshift at a gas station was a fun job.
>The problem is, what's Episode 2? It's a tiny gas station.

Same way they wrote Regular Show episodes even though it takes place in a park
There's some weird shit going on with the manager so there's potential there

Is gas station pizza any good?
I’m sure there’s some places that manage good stuff
It’s usually passable, if you’re in the right mindset
If the gas station is a Casey's then yes.
My nearest Hunts Brothers Pizza is pretty good. Supreme all the way. Dem fishermen keep them busy.
>The breakfast pizza
I used to eat that shit every morning on my way to school
It's a lot better than it used to be, depending on location. Some gas stations really have become general stores like the cat guy describes.
Depends on the station. As a general rule though it's safe to assume any pizza made in a gas station is better than the best pizza Italy has to offer
I miss Hot Stuff Pizza.
Their Sausage Pie was fire.
goddammit i'm hungry now

I kinda liked what OK KO did, Gar's store on the strip but in a Viddy game sorta world and they sell heath items and junk food.

what did he mean by this?
>Why no full series?
Because this is fricking garbage
It just isn't funny and the premise is boring.
what the hell is she saying here?
some things are better without becoming cartoons, this is too good and they will totally 100% shit on it and turn it into another we bare bears

Yeah who the frick is this show for??? All the adult women watching cartoons?

women do indeed watch cartoons. steven universe is carried almost exclusively by an audience of women and gay males.
women with penis
Women watch cartoons for kids
Women don't watch adult swim shows for adults
Because he was the nicest, most pleasent character. Bertie was a self-pitying butthole.
