>don't cheap out on the mobo, it's literally the foundation of your computer
>don't cheap out on the power supply, you really want to risk frying your components?
>don't cheap out on the RAM, you really want to be bottlenecked by one component?
>don't cheap out on the display cables, you really want subpar bitrate to mar the display you worked so hard to build?
>don't cheap out on the monitor, you really want to deal with +10ms input lag?
>don't cheap out on the mouse and keyboard, you really want to build all that and interact with it with shitty controls?

Where does it fricking end?

I only follow that rule for the mobo (recent lesson) and the mobo (learn this one +10y ago). Everything else I just make sure to do a cost benefit analysis of sorts such as not many people talking badly about it online, and that's basically it.

Just cheap out on everything. Frick it we're all gonna be dead in a hundred years. Not worth worrying about.

In 100 years, but probably not 5 or 10 years from now, so you better avoid any headache that will shorten your lifespan.

Generous to assume that we'll all survive the second finno-korean hyperwar in 2033.

this, I have a literal cardboard box as the case and it's been serving me well for years. Friend decorated for me, unironically a prized posession.

    >Mobo's all use the same chipsets, cheap out here
    >Power supplies are simple, hard to mess up and everyone is just oem-ing chinese psus anyway, get a cheap one
    >RAM speed doesn't matter for light tasks, go cheap
    >Display cables have to adhere to a standard to use the connector/protocols, get the cheapest ones
    >If you're not gaming input lag doesn't matter, go cheap
    >Cheap mouse and keyboard never break anyways, go cheap
It ends when you want it to end. Probably wouldn't cheap out on the psu myself because I like a warranty, but that doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune.

Yeah the only component where I regret buying cheap is the power supply, I remember my first build had annoying coil whine which I thought came from the GPU but when it happened again I noticed it actually was the PSU that triggered it. Later on I bought a second PSU for mining but it caused constant clicking whenever it was turned on. And just recently my 8 year old power supply blew out its capacitor, it's always the power supply that is causing problems.

Thanks but I basically stopped caring about Jpop idols around 2012 when all of my favorites graduated. (I also got married in 2012) Yes they are all nearly 40 or older. But they were better. (I’m 40 also)

Ayaya is still on TV occasionally though, usually for unrelated old lady type stuff. And just recently at least Gotou, Yasuda and Iida were on TV shows too.

Man I saw that Yaguchi Mari hosts esports stuff but she’s gotten chubby. I still see Ai Takahashi on TV and she’s still gorgeous. My other favorites might as well be dead. Yossie, Kago Ai. Their careers are dead due to controversies and alcoholism. 2001-2012 were some great years.

Keyboards and mice you can afford not to spend 200 dollars on some gaymer shit, but everything else is relatively solid advice, especially about PSUs.
I mean if you want your chinesium shit to catch on fire and not have a warranty that shit's on you.

    >don't cheap out
Means don't be like one of those prebuilt making israelites who buy the cheapest components that just meet the spec so you could have a cheap "product" to sell for the highest profit margin. It means spend 10% more for components that won't fail you, not buy something that is twice as expensive.
