I highly doubt there was this level of consideration involved. If they wanted to talk about "style" they'd say that, but it instead it refers to the whole idea of designing community centered, mid to high level spaces.

Not him, but I'd say that mass poverty, 24/7 traffic congestion, and slums are a little more depressing than subsidized housing.
And a lot of the reason "commie blocks" are found to cause depression is because they were built in an awful brutalist style that communists loved so much. So just don't do that.

Most of us believe in destroying everything to start over, it never works.
