I'd like to get into the hobby of astronomy, but I have no idea what telescope is good to start with. I don't really want to spend over a grand in case it ends up being something I don't care for, but I don't want to buy a hundred dollar telescope that can't see Saturn's rings and moons.
I was into that and eventually didn't buy anything at all. Every telescope in my range didn't have enough resolution for even planets (from YouTube). I figured, I'd get pretty bored. Even if I saw planets and few nebula, that's it. I could see the same shit but more clearer in internet.
I'm more interested in radio astronomy now, although haven't researched anything yet.
