Aside from the last two (German and Irish so close enough) every worthwhile female author is an Anglo-Saxon aristocrat, why is that?
Virginia Woolf and Sylvia Plath don't belong in that list. Stein should be in it instead.
Stein is a lesbian hack and only raging butch dykes insist she had any talent
Tender Buttons is the worst thing I've ever read
>why is that?
Because you're a monolingual Anglo. Cf. :
Cristina Campo
Maria Zambrano
Marguerite Duras
Silvina Ocampo
Hilda Hilst
Violette Leduc
Monique Wittig
You missed Lady Gregory.
>every worthwhile female author is an Anglo-Saxon aristocrat, why is that?
because non aristocrats wouldn't have had the time they were too busy, rich women are idle and want for nothing so have lots of time available to think about shit
You are forgetting the mother of them all.
Patroclus??
Because those are all the female writers you know.
True
Those are writers and I do know that I am reading their names so I recognize them from reading them right this moment.
The world's first novel was written by a Japanese woman, Murasaki Shikibu.
Ignorance is bliss. People in the anglosphere really think they are the only people on planet earth
yeah how about you list all the books written by women from countries where they hadn't even conceived of a written language
We are
Now everyone on IQfy may have shit taste, but every single book by a woman that made it on last year's chart is in this list while the male side has far more non-anglos than anglos.
I figure that it's because women only started being able to write freely in the 1800s and since that point two of the three global superpowers were the British in the 19th century and the US in the 20th so their women were the richest and had the greatest opportunity to write.
You forgot the Mitford sisters you pleb
Should I read all these women if I don't want to be a misogynistic pig?
