    What are STAR questions?

      Anonymous

The STAR interview method is a technique used to answer behavioral and situational interview questions in a structured and compelling way.0 It stands for situation, task, action, and result.12 Hiring managers ask behavioral interview questions to determine whether a candidate is the right fit for a job.1 The STAR method prompts job candidates to give specific examples of how they've handled past situations or challenges.0 It helps candidates prepare clear and concise responses using real-life examples. Some tips for answering STAR questions include using real-life examples, avoiding clichés, and being prepared for conflict situations.

I worked in HR before. We hire base on personality instead of skills and competency. In 4 different companies its all the same.
    Companies I worked in are
    Norvatis
    Johnson and Johnson
    Alcon
Not telling you my current one

Interviews for jobs are sort of like a black box you dont really know what factors are at play

If you are going back to your old job theres a 100% chance that the managers had a discussion about you and that has more weight than anything you do.

Typically if you get fired from a job they wont take you back because youve proven yourself to be difficult

      Anonymous

Why wouldn't they just block me then? They check if an employee if rehirable. I use the same email and account

theyre probably covering themselves from discrimination risks and what have you. Im not fully read up on employment law but I do know that even if companies are deadset on promoting somebody internally to the role that needs filling they have to interview people anyway

its probably similar with fired employees. They probably are legally obliged to say they interviewed you

          Anonymous

          >theyre probably covering themselves from discrimination risks

Its not discrimination if its an ex-employee

            Anonymous

It depends entirely on the companies recruitment policy.

If your company policy says that fired employees can be considered for rehire they probably have to ignore that black mark until after the interview process.

STAR is the fricking worst, I know the federal government uses that a lot, they were such boring interviews. The conversational/scenario based ones are the best. You get a question that's open ended, and your response reveals the depth of your knowledge. Google uses that a lot.

Anyway I have another interview with the company but at a different plant. If they pull that shit again, I might just sue

      Anonymous

You have no grounds to sue if they considered you. Theyd just point to why you were a unsatisfactory employee and their hiring policies and you lose by default
