I have several sources of angst in my life, such as: I am sad that my deceased relatives are not around any more, and wish I could speak to them or contact them. Also, I think of my own death and I am concerned with the idea that my life will cease. I hope my friends and relatives that die don't just cease to exist, and I hope I do, too. On the other hand, I see people do bad things and get away with them, and it irks me that they might misbehave and transgress and then escape punishment. I wish that some kind of ineffable authority was around to make everything square, perhaps in the same place as we "go" when we die.
Can you guys tell me a story that satisfies these universal sources of angst, and also maybe explains how and why the world around me was created? I might be willing to give you things or food or even limit my own behavior in order to feel certitude instead of fear.
