>Getting an iPad that can't access to crucial programs (Xcode or other MacOS software) with an M series chip that would've benefitted the most on a MacBook
I seriously don't understand why the frick anyone would do this. Why the frick would anyone get an M4 chip iPad pro if most of your use case (especially the need for larger display) could've been satisfied with an A12Z or M1 chip?
>inb4 poor cope
I recently got a maxed out MBP so nope I'm not.
>what if I wanna edit videos
Maybe if you're not doing hardcore edits then maybe it would suffice for your use case but my homie... I couldn't think of any video editing pros would really want to do their work on an iPad Pro than with a MacBook (considering the benefits of >2 extended displays) ...
NTA but who gives a shit about xcode? It has basically the same software for creatives and a performance bump for ML stuff like SD.
The only thing I'd be missing is being able to play vidya and Handbrake.
Well XCode was the first thing that came to my mind when it comes to OS compatibility when it's iPad vs a MacOS machine... Other than that, these are probably not available on M-series chip iPad as well: Visual Studio? Godot IDE? Logic Pro X? Final Cut Pro? Parallels?
I could be wrong, but welcome to correct me on this software compatibility issue because an M-series chip on iPad doesn't seem valuable when you consider harder use cases.
>Logic Pro X? Final Cut Pro?
All covered. Like yeah, if you want to do any coding on it, iPad Pro doesn't make much sense, for most other things, it's practically the same but with a more efficient OS.
are you moronic? this piece of hardware is not meant for codetards and programmer trannies. it's meant for visual artists who need a touchscreen platform for making illustrations; video editors who need to edit things on the go and music producers, sound editors who also need mobility.
Apple is pretty clear on the case uses in their marketing. Or did you think that being a black woman working at a music studio was just aspirational LMAO
>it's meant for visual artists who need a touchscreen platform for making illustrations; video editors who need to edit things on the go and music producers, sound editors who also need mobility
Like I said if their use case isn't as hard core as serious music producers or illustrators then a flagship iPad Pro makes no financial sense because an iPad Pro with an A12Z or M1 chip would've done most of what normietards would've needed.

I checked Logic Pro and Final Cut and I realized you're right. I stand corrected.
people said the same things about the m1 when it came out
m4 is the new one get that and you'll use it for the next 7 years people with an m1 will use it theirs for another 4 and then theyll buy the m8 model

I wonder about that though. Base M4 only has 3 performance cores and 8gb RAM, surely that is bound to switch in the next year or two and then devices below the new normal are fricked?

Ok but what if I wanna edit videos homosexual?
Then it still kinda sucks since AFAIK you can only export with hardware encoding, hence would need to run another time for better file size.

Yeah, it's definitely a very niche device.
people said the same things about the m1 when it came out

so trannies? what are you on about, anon?
actual designers use a Windows computer and a Wacom tablet to illustrate, iPads are just a novelty

This but unironically, just get an iPad Air (or even a Mini) and a MBP. The iPad pro is the worst of both worlds.
$1,499 just to take notes and read PDFs?
you're not poor but you're gonna buy the one with the low end processor???
enjoy it buddy, I personally don't feel bothered about your life choices, how do I unsubscribe from your blog ?
Is that the new foreman portable grill?
>only need it to take notes and download pdfs
Why get an iPad for that over a Surface Pro?
>twice the weight and half the battery life to do the same things slower with a worse OS
Why indeed?
youll realise one day that only poors spend this extravagantly
you dont see rich people dripped out in gucci, its always the Black folk who somehow stumbled into some cash
Ok but Black folk buy jordans and other stupid shit
Corners are overrated for the human eye
Since when did people decide they want to have missing corners of their screens? What the frick moronic shit is that?
why not get a boox tab or remarkable 2 instead
or in addition if youre not poor
Holy shit, how did they manage to make less functional devices so much fatter?
what are you talking about? the remarkable is like the same thickness as an ipad
a fool and his money dont stay together for long
