Stained glass isn’t drab and Gothic buildings come in all sorts of colors, white, gray, brown, red, etc. It’s a matter of what the local building materials are.

But Italians relented in the end, realised small roman churches were boring and unimpressive, then they started building Gothic again and putting Gothic fascades over the soulless Roman churches and expanding its tiny bunker windows etc.

"The most famous features of the chapel, among the finest of their type in the world, are the fifteen great stained-glass windows in the nave and apse of the upper chapel, which date from the mid-13th century, as well as the later rose window (put in place in the 15th century). The stone wall surface is reduced to little more than a delicate framework. The thousands of small pieces of glass turn the walls into great screens of coloured light, largely deep blues and reds, which gradually change in intensity from hour to hour.[28]

Most of the windows were put into place between 1242 and 1248"

Shitskins are in massive denial about the fact that they've always been behind Europeans in development and always will be. They just keep repeating lies to themselves like "teaching Europeans how to bathe" when in reality Europe had soap for over 6000 years and the Romans literally taught _them_ how to make it. It's a pathetic culture desperate for any spec of dignity, but there is none to be found.

            Well, not always.
When Greece was in it's infancy, the great civilizations were all in ME/NA.
But, yes, Europe eventually pulled ahead and stayed ahead.

Also, many of Greeks and Romans are swarthoids themselves.

            >When Greece was in it's infancy, the great civilizations were all in ME/NA.
            According to what metric?

During this time the Steppe Pastorialists had wheeled carts, metalworking and quite literally more gold artifacts than Egypt, so they were likely richer than any of the floodplain civilizations.

What you say is true if you classify "great" as "the ability to write on clay tablets which would last for thousands of years in deserted ruins". Writing in general is something which Europe also had (in fact Europe had the oldest proven calendars, symbolic writing and math). The only difference is that Europeans mostly worked with perishable objects and had oral traditions. There is a lot for archeologists to study, but not a lot for historians to study, hence the bias to prefering dead flood plain civs over a living civilization that built over its own ruins and left little early writing.

Did they have advance systems of laws? Of governance? Of education?
Who gives a frick that they had gold, moron. So did fricking Musa Mansa. So what? It doesn't make Mali impressive; it doesn't make you impressive.

            >fact Europe had the oldest proven calendars,
Calendars show up at around the same time in many different cultures.
            >symbolic writing
            Proto-writing is not writing.
            >math
The need for advance maths comes from civilizational development. ME/NA was ahead here.

            > The only difference is that Europeans mostly worked with perishable objects and had oral traditions. Yes.
            >Of governance?
            Yes.
            >Of education?
Yes, Druidic circles were quite advanced. Greeks refered to them as "natural philosophers". Of course the strictly oral tradition is the problem.

            >Who gives a frick that they had gold, moron. So did fricking Musa Mansa. So what? It doesn't make Mali impressive; it doesn't make you impressive.
People are impressed by Mali whenever they hear the story of Mansa Musa, you are coping hard. Nothing else Mali did is impressive yet gold alone (which he probably made from slave and ivory trade) was enough to warrant attention on Mali and herald it as the proof of civilization in West Africa.

            >Calendars show up at around the same time in many different cultures.
Yes, but Europe had it first. Other cultures also got skyscrappers and universities after Europeans taught them how to build them.
            >Proto-writing is not writing.
            Define the "proto" in proto-writing.
            >The need for advance maths comes from civilizational development. ME/NA was ahead here.
How so? Computing volumes of grain silos is not as impressive as the dynamic time dependent computations made by Europeans already. Bronze age civs actually did not have any technological edge at all when viewer objectively.

            >You're sounding like an afrocentrist, bud.
Africans never built over anything other than colonial cities Europeans built. By contrast the oldest proven continuously inhabited cities in the world are all in Europe.

            Anonymous

Well it's not odd because we know why you do it.
You have to because the oldest cities are not in Europe therefore pdisproving your claims. So you add other criteria that do not affect historic development. If tomorrow all inhabitants of Athens would vanish it wouldn't make New York the older city. You are coping.

            >ou have to because the oldest cities are not in Europe therefore pdisproving your claims.
But they all are. European cities are older than Sumer or any MENA city: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_oldest_continuously_inhabited_cities

They were also proven to have been bigger, before you attempt your next cope.

You are just coping because you are realising that your criteria for civilization is indeed "dead ruins with dry clay tablets that I can study" and not anything tangible more such as development, technology, wealth etc.

It is objectively not, even Florence relented and turned the most Romanesque Cathedral ever that was meant to embody the Romanest Romanesque into a Gothic facade because it is just objectively more beautiful and awe inspiring.

Gothic is okay as long as it's not a spiky mess full of unnecessary arches.
