Denying phenomenal experience through discourse and language is just a raw contradiction but by saying that you are just a barking dog UG was taking the easy way out, humorous, but meaningless.
UG had a very hard life and when looking into his biography it is easy to see why he came to have such a pessimistic philosophy about everything. He is a fascinating character because of how weird his thought system is despite the fact that he has denied having one. Despite denying everything, he allowed me to stop being a materialist. It is almost an insult to his image to say that he allowed me a transformation, because he flatly denied this and even despised the use of his words to achieve a personal goal. But UG also claimed that he didn't give a shit what we do with his. That's the magic of it.
