Willing to bet that everything you found boring in C&P will be all over Demons as well, in spades. That said, it is a better novel, though wildly uneven as per the usual Dostoevsky (non-)standard.
>“I can’t understand anything now,” said Stavrogin wrathfully. “Why does every one expect of me something not expected from anyone else? Why am I to put up with what no one else puts up with, and undertake burdens no one else can bear?” >“I thought you were seeking a burden yourself.” >“I seek a burden?” >“Yes.” >“You’ve … seen that?” >“Yes.” >“Is it so noticeable?” >“Yes.”
Nikolai is literally me
Stavrogin character has always been so weird to me. He first appeared as a madman then as an actual cold-blooded unhinged psychopath and then hd has this dialogue? I simply don't understand.
He sure did, sis.
How can you not say c**t?
???
>pussy licking in a Dosto
Ok I’m picking it up tomorrow
Uh oh…who's gonna tell him, girls?
C and P was so fricking boring I stopped it after a 100 pages. Is this better?
Yuh

C&P is his most accessible great work. I don't think Demons will be to your liking either
I have never finished C&P but I finished Demons. I liked it way better.
Its better in my opinion, but it takes even longer to get going. Just stick with both of them my friend, they are worth reading to the end.

If you know you know. You, who doesn't know, shall not know.
Extremely rare good Dosto dialogue. When he was he was on.
