Last year I scored 110 verbal iq on a professional test.
Since then I have lost my desire to read and my interest in literature as I simply dont see the point in reading with such a low verbal intelligence. Am I being silly? It's really getting me down.
It's funny how all these tests can vary, one I got a low average Verbal Iq and the other I got well above average.
Just goes to show you these tests are flawed. All that matters is if you're in the ballpark of at least average intelligence, that means you're perfectly capable as the majority of people at succeeding at something if you continue to practice/work at it.
If you enjoyed reading before taking this test then I honestly am not even sure why the results of the test matter to you at all. Get back to reading, the test was silly not you.

What?
110 is on the higher end of average doe? why would being slightly better than average equate with being too stupid to understand literature? Why do you think they call it an average? Cause it's what most people are, and most people are capable of reading and understanding a book if they want to lol
Maybe you just felt that reading made you a smart special boy, and that you never really enjoyed it in the first place?
Why let that deter you OP?
The whole IQ wienersucking on this sub is so silly.
Don't take it so seriously. You're letting yourself get ruled by others.
How is iq not serious? It's your intelligence. That plays a huge role in every aspect of life
Alright IQfy bros, let's see your verbal IQ

My honest advice:
- study the Bible
- read philosophy
- read poetry
- write whatever you can enjoy writing
- don't concern yourself with IQ tests too much
If you do these things with reasonable diligence, I would be very surprised if your verbal IQ did not increase with time.
110-115 is high average intelligence. You're above average, but it's also understandable why you wouldn't like that fact. It's kind of a niche where you're adept at most things but not easily excellent or superb suchlike the higher IQ ranges would be. So you're probably unsatisfied with your abilities at some things, feeling that you can do more but struggling with the impasse of felt limits. If it was a real test (WAIS, Stanford-Binet, Cattell, etc) then you should probably use that to reflect on your career choices and hobbies and enthusiasm to reduce the chance of boredom and increase chance for happiness and fulfillment. After all, you probably paid a lot unless you took it under some special circumstances. Those tests usually cost psychologists $1000-$1500 to acquire, and then they also have to buy the manual and learn how to proctor the test.
