Adrian Goldsworthy has a book on Fall of the West which tries to explain why Rome fell. c.400 pages.

the first 200 pages of Judith Herrin's Ravenna covers from 390 to 476 as well

          >Daily life in Late Anqituity
          >Ruling the Later Roman Empire
          >There is no crime for those who have Christ
          >The Late Roman Army
These are the four most basic in depth sorta books. One about how most people lived, one about how the Empire was run, one about Christianity specifically violence done by them and the army.

I liked it. It is a biography so don't expect him to stray away from Heraclius and covering the entire Persian war, I ended up ordering a book specifically for it because I wanted more on that. I don't particularly believe his argument of the Armenian lobby or party in the Empire but otherwise it follows Heraclius pretty well.

thanks. let me know what the book is covering the war when you get the chance as well

It's pic related. 'Last great war of Antiquity'. Recent release and just came out yesterday, so I expect I will be getting it in a months time. It's expensive so if you aren't willing to throw down $80 you might want to wait until you can get it second hand.

Surely you realize that your haplogroup data is compiled by the same compromised academic establishment that's telling you Europeans used to be black, right?

            Anonymous

One thing is haplogroups the second is propaganda, you can fake the latter not the former

Ofc Neolithic Black folk were not black they were swarthoids though

Not telepathically, but invader men definitely out-breed the native men, and within a couple generations, they become the new majority

How exactly. The Ostrogoths were not permitted to marry non Gothic women and Italy had the largest population in the world at the time.

moronic empire even for it’s time
    >capital city is a slum where the poorest depend on grain gibs to survive
    >never invented anything worthwhile, had to copy or co opt every technology they used
    >never established a real manner of succession, and was ruled by whatever general was popular for most of its history
    >burn the records of their enemies like apes, meaning we have to rely on blatant propaganda masquerading as history to know anything about carthage, the gauls, etc…
    >society comprised entirely of manlets, got height mogged by without exaggeration every enemy they ever fought
it’s a real tragedy is how many people throughout history idealize them
