I have never had any of that taken to me. Idk if it's because I'm chad-lite(failed chad now that I'm in my 30s) or because I've never worked at any of those companies(I have a soul). Happy Easter!

Most chads in high school do fail. Turns out being pretty and good at sports only takes you so far.

True, but it allowed me to segue into a very cushy week paid skilled tradesman kind of lifestyle so I'm okay with it.

        >Turns out being pretty and good at sports only takes you so far.

This is common knowledge that the Chads dont see until their face slams into a brick wall as fast as a moving train.

Its common to see the abused and bullied nerds become the tip top of the totem pole the second they graduate college while the chads get thrown to the fricking bottom. Smooth talk and sports only get you so far.

Thank God I grew some balls and started my business, never again in my life I'll worry about a job interview or how to make my CV better for some random b***h to analyze

If you can't start some operation to make money on your own terms, you deserve to be judged by these "people"

unless being pre won and getting money for free
everyone else will need to at least start of their path as a wagie to acquire the startup funds/connections necessary to go into business yourself
not to mention all the production inefficiencies this whole mess creates, you do want your self made money to have a real purchasing power left dont you
burn hr to the ground and heal society

plenty of business require very little capital to start, I do agree that waging in your early twenties will give you a better understanding of how the world works, which will help you in you own ventures, that is if you are paying attention to your surroundings, most people are not

I have to say this... I finally managed to get a senior software engineer position at a major chip company. IDIOT ME thought that I would be doing cool projects and learn shit loads of hardware crap.

    HOWEVER!!!

I got like 5h/week of diversity, inclusion, LGBT propaganda, etc. Almost 0 technical talks, over a month only 2 hours. My project was crap crap crap crap, basically a shitty Python script that a b***h wrote that generates an XML.

The project had big loads of technical debt, Robert Kiyosaki would be proud of the amount of debt that project had. So long story short, I've quit. And my previous managers are hating me non-stop. And I don't give a damn. I truly don't. I think I won't ever try to work on a big tech company ever again. I can't tolerate anymore gays and women being promoted, getting lectured 24/7 about LGBT, Women's Rights and BLM.

I JUST WANT TO FRICKING DO GOOD CODING, SOMETHING CHALLENGING AND LEARN STUFF. I DON'T WANT TO GET LECTURED ABOUT POLITICS IN A TECH COMPANY.

Isn't it super easy though? Just repeat the narrative like you're a LLM and sit back enjoying those 120k/yr entry level positions.

      Seriously asking.

I understand. But to live in society in 2024 is to hide any opinion, preference or even thought that is not strictly approved by government, media and corporations. So it's a matter of shutting up in public while you enjoy whatever freedom you may still have in private. And I know this is terrible - it's literally why I'm hoping the shitcoin casino will someday bless me with financial independence.

You're correct, but this phenomenon is novel for Americans outside of some particular subcultures. I'm from Chicago, "base appeasement to illegitimate authority as a prerequisite for private liberty" is understood on the cellular level here. We get on famously with post-Soviets and other survivors of corrupt, degenerated institutions. But I think the vast majority of the country is only in recent years catching up to this.

Drive to do what? Make some bullshit app? Tech is a scam top to bottom at least in a dei meeting I can zone out instead of bust my ass for a fake product

But if you have more than 3 braincells you can see that all of this is a total waste of time and 120K a year will never let you escape the burning hell that is the modern corporate workplace.

Friend is a roasti with a recruiter job. She was fired about 6 months ago and is in full panic mode right now because she just started looking for a job and can’t find one. Idk how but she was “burned out” making like 250k a year and working all of three hours a day

      Anonymous

She was ‘burned out’ because at 250k you’re expected to produce results and being a recruiter she knew she’s wasn’t that valuable to company. It was the stress of knowing it was only a matter of time before she’d get fired

I'm a man and I also reject ulgy women that apply. What's the problem? If you are the type to worry about a girl rejecting you from a job offer because you're ugly or creepy, you never had a chance in the first place.

  12. 2 months ago

The roasties don’t even do the interview for tech positions you moron. They just handle logistics like finding a time that works for you and the guys who will actually interview you

      Anonymous

No, but they do act as a filter. The engineer's time is so valuable they can only let a few people do interviews, which is what I would say contributes to the problem more.
