I remember when I first played CK2 and the tutorial put me as King Alfonso of Leon in 1066. I united Galacia, Castille, and Leon and when I died it broke again and I was very confused and pissed
Ah but when I started playing the tutorial was Leon. I've watched older playthroughs on YT where the tutorial was on Ireland.

I hear they're making Europa V.
I wonder if they'll then let Europa IV be free like they did with CK2 when CK3 came out.

I'm very intrigued about """Project Caesar""" (a codename for the March of the Eagles 2). It'll be the ultimate grand strategy as far as we know - combining the best parts of CK3, Imperator, EU4, HOI4, and so on.
EU4 is old enough to be made free after release of the newest flagship, I think.

I just hope it gets cultures/pops and religions right, that's all I care about in these games anyway
Based in its effect, cringe in its cause. It was proof that decentralized federations with autonomous cities can be extremely effective at developing a robust skilled professional class and intelligencia while improving the conditions of the average laborer by increasing competition among employers, but the individual decision makers who created it and guided it's development were not morally guided institutional reformers by any means

After gleefully slaughtering his fellow Whites for not worshiping the israelite god YHWH
It was still germanic therefore based. The roman empire had too many syrians and was already ruled by semites in the 3rd century. Although I dislike republics and democracies I think that the Roman Republic especially in its early days was better than the Roman Empire.
>Imperial Russia
What was good about that?
In terms on territorial conquest sure, it was up there.
Politically it was a mixed bag.
Religious it was kinda a backwater that regularly worked against Christanity.

It's alright once you unlock primogeniture but until you do you're stuck with partition and that makes it impossible to play long-term

There's a reason tutorial island exists 😉

Fair.
Just get your kid educated by a Welshman and then you can enact Tanistry Succession.
It was until it wasn't
Audience matters.
The Bible only matters when its quotes can be interpreted to support my views.
the existence of Matthew15:26 proves the point.

You're talking 1000 years of history. Which part interests you the most? For a more general overview read Wilson's Heart of Europe.
