I want to buy an Samsung Galaxy S24!
It's going to be the base model. I heard people saying to avoid it because of Exynos. How bad is it really? The 7 years of updates is really attractive to me because I will probably use this for even longer than that.
On the other hand you got the Galaxy S23. It comes with Qualcomm right? Should I go for that instead? But it doesn't have a long update plan.
Also the smaller screen is a turnoff because my 2018 midrange phone has a larger screen than the S24.

Kek
It's absolutely fine if you do phone-things with your phone.
I want to play Genshin Impact. Doable? I don't know how demanding Genshin is going to be in 7 years but a flagship can certainly handle it right?
256GB is scary though. And only 8 gigs of ram.
>I want to play Genshin Impact.
Do it on your PC or Deck or Switch, not a fricking phone
I don't have a PC that can play Genshin
moronic boomer lmao
Steam will come to smartphones soon. Screencap this.
Convergence is the future.
>Genshin Impact
Take your meds, pedo
My favourite and most used main looks like this. How am I a pedo?
Anon, you should seek help before you end up in prison. Unless you're 12 any reasonable person can assume and be correct you play Genshin for the children. I bet you are logged into discord right now
Got the Galaxy A54 which is uses a mid-low end exynos chip (Exynos 1380)
For day to day use I really dont notice any slowdown/issues, but its worth mentioning I debloated my phone. Doesnt seem to have any issues with the 120hz screen.
Gaming wise, it can run geshin impact at 30ish frames with medium/high settings with some occasional stutter. I imagine the S24 will give you good performance from the faster chip.
If youre worried about battery life, I can comfortably get through a whole day of heavy use and I even get two days out of lighter use.
The only thing I think you will notice a difference in performance with the snapdragon chip is if youre doing emulating on your phone for retro games, as I noticed mine gets hit hard by running certain PS2 games as 2x resolution scale.
TLDR you should be fine.
literally unusable garbage
Who fricking cares.
Sent from my Samsung S24
Do you regret it at all?
Don't care.
Plus not on Discord right now
>Average Genshin player post
Sad really. Just be aware other prisoners treat chomos like you poorly.
pedos get even better treatment, but I don't wanna ruin the fun for OP
anything with oneui in it isn't worth it anon
Is it bad? I remember using touchwiz and it was awful
Genshin is a cut above regular phone games. Also emulation is better than PC on smartphones. Portability is a plus too and is easier to use than something like a console. Like you can just hook your phone up to a controller with a bracket and have a full gaming setup just like that
seeing peoples playing games on phone past 2009 make me mad.
always online game is not a real game. it just gambling as a service for kids with half ass assets. shame
Millions of people use it and are happy with it. Autistic nerds will argue about weird technical aspects that don't really matter.
Exynos 2400 is obviously better than SD 8 Gen 2 since the SD is one generation is older than the exynos. But it's worse than SD 8 Gen 3.
However, I'd still advice against S24 due to the screen graininess issue. pic related
But it's scratch proof.
It has nothing to do with scratches.

This is Gorilla Armor problem
it exists even on the base S24 models, those models have Victus 2
Strange then. I though it's the price we should pay for being scratch resistant. I guess I'll wait till next year then
My S24u looks like this but also has a denim effect across the whole screen, Samsung won't replace it so I'm selling it to squash the remaining finance and going for a One Plus.
Everyone here is joking around but do not, and I repeat do NOT buy any Exynos phones. I had the S20FE and it would get hot browsing Twitter while playing music from the built in music player. I got the s23 base last year and it genuinely has never once gotten hot.
I am not kidding, "if you use your phone like a phone you won't feel it" BULLSHIT, if you try to watch a video in summer say bye bye to your phone. It will shutdown because of how hot it gets. No using it while charging either. I also had to unplug the charger at least twice while charging it so it wouldn't melt the fricking cable.
Exynos variant so I'm guessing you're European or a Bong. Price for a bog standard S24 is £799 / €899. Price for a OnePlus 12 16gig/512gb with a Snapdragon 8 gen 3 is £849 / €949 but there's a £100 / €100 discount at the moment so £749 / €849. Yes, the OnePlus 12 doesn't have the AI software that Samsung or even the Pixels have but who gives a frick when you've got that screen and SOC, the phone is a fricking powerhouse and it'll easily play whatever you throw at it.
>no sd card
>no headphone jack
It's trash just like my s22u. Can't wait to upgrade and dispose of this current shitphone as a shooting target.
rule of thumb for Galaxy S phones is:
Snapdragon Galaxy SXX =/> Exynos Galaxy SXX+1
What?
My SN S23 is better than or at least as good as some dude's exynos S24
It`s fine if you enjoy your battery draining twice as fast compared to a snapdragon.
Bump
>hey are Apples good? I heard Granny Smith is better than Red Delicious. Is that true? How much better are they actually? I actually like how sour Granny Smith are so that's why I'm considering getting one
>just eat apple pies
Meant for
Just get an S10.
