How come this is the only book (series) that makes me unironically WANT to read? It's almost better than browsing the internet.

It’s because you have a very poor classical education. You have low familiarity with the breadth and depth of literature and have appreciation only for one particularly type of literature and its aims. In short, you’ve been conned into thinking you received a real education when did you not, and unfortunately, nobody tried to give you one. That last part doesn’t even really matter because almost nobody has one themselves. With the diagnosis out of the way, I would prescribe a steady dose of reading classic literature.
Holy frick please have sex
>replying to 3 disparate posts.
>they each have different takes.
>make a generalized meme statement.
thanks for your contribution, troony.
Its all the same pretentious take just worded differently you miserable homosexual. Once again please go frick someone
Mine wasn't even pretentious, queer.
I like these books, but I think it is silly to think that they are the only books that are fun to read.
I read them to my children.
It literally is though. You just took the fence sitters approach of “Shes not THAT bad, but you’re 16 if you enjoy it” to try and fit in with these turbo virgins. Its okay to have fun. Stop being a vapid c**t.
c**t is a misogynistic word, Black person.
but how can you honestly say it is good to only read harry potter? I'm a massive fan of the books and know that there is much more out there.
>c**t is a misogynistic word
Good. I should say it more often.
Never said that. OP definitely needs to branch out. I’m simply tired of the ostentatious attitude most have here. No one is impressed.
You're saying you agree with me.
>No one is impressed.
I think it is pretty funny tbh
I think the poster whom you are replying to is both charming and aloof, and I am very impressed by his pithy rhetoric.
You two should hook up then. Would help you both.
Hell yeah.
Why woukd a trans person defend Rowling? Are you moronic?
they still love the books, Black person
that is why they were so upset
a fan who feels betrayed is a million times worse than someone who hated you from the start
>"In short" is longer than the first answer
frick off, nerd
It's called being a moronic manchild
The truth is that Rowling is a better writer than people give her credit for. She includes the right amount of detail and gives her characters the right motivations. That being said, unless you're like 16, you should have moved on to books with more depth.
Try Brandon Sanderson
Because you're uncultured and don't know the great stuff.

Why do the later books get "political" with the evil headmistress, the bad journalists that want to censor Harry, the evil bureaucracy of magic, etc. Kind of cringe and gives a false sense of the series maturing.
because they are tied to a Hollywood franchise, one that came out relatively shortly after the book series began, third or forth book onwards are effectively movie tie-in merch, you are just a consoomer.
It's only decent for the first 3 books, than starts to suck afterwards.
It's a children's series anyway, read more mature stuff since you'll get a larger output on life anyway.
book 4 is the best one and books 2 and 3 are some of the worst in the series
6 is kino
There are other books which will make you feel the same
Holy shit this is the biggest overreaction I've seen on this board in some time. Someone's favorite reading experience being the most popular book series of the past generation doesn't deserve this kind of response. OP is literally asking why and how to find other things she enjoys and you morons can't muster anything other than baseless denigrations. What on earth is wrong with you homosexuals? You fricking gay hobbiest are insufferable.
LMAO
I like that you assume OP is a woman.
You need to shut the frick up.
>being the most popular book series of the past generation
For children. Are you a child? You're not supposed to be on here
because its fun thats it. check out C.S. Lewis
Pratchett wrote more adult oriented fantasy pulp if you enjoyed Harry Potter that much.
If you're dead set on sticking with YA fiction I remember enjoying the Children of the Lamp series, and at least the first three or four Artemis Fowl books when I was young.
>inb4 trannies don't read
Has OP tried to read Rowling's non-Harry Potter books?
