Part of it is the math that is required. There's a meme in America about math being too hard. People quickly see numbers and think "ew math, that's too much thinking for me!" and refuse to try. There was some thread the other day of some moron going "ree I can't do calculus why is this required? :("
But in Asia, whether we're talking about Indians or orientals, math is given more respect. Then of course they hear how they can make a billion dollars with a CS major and aren't scared about the math as much.

Which part? People being afraid of math is definitely true. If you mean the Asian part I can't really argue cause I'm really just basing it off my experience with the Asians that were in my classes. There were still some of them that went "oh no math :(" but some of it seemed to be in jest. Had one Korean tell me the sort of math they do in public school over there. They have much higher expectations. Of course that's only one country.
Even if they aren't good at it, they still don't immediately turn tail because of it which is half the battle. Hell I wasn't even that good at math in high school and still went through with the CS degree. Still not the best but I still didn't shy away.
Idk, my social circle is like 60% white math majors or minors so maybe I'm biased. They're not any inherently better at it, obviously they're more culturally pushed towards it though. I'm talking more about the mass immigration, why did it shoot up so much in the past like 5 years?
What I mean is that people in America shy away from CS which leads to all the Asians to go for it freely.
But also the fact that the tech sector keeps hiring them which means good old nepotism based on race that whites can't do. Especially with Indians who most likely know someone already employed so they already have an in and a reason to go for CS.
I think all the oriental Asians go for teaching jobs but that's just another perspective of mine. My college professors all ended up being either Chinese or Korean near the end as all the old white dudes that were teaching it decided to retire one by one.

In general, non-whites do not understand humanities and actively avoid those degrees in university. This may be due to their impoverished backgrounds or to their innate shitskin nature, but whatever it may be, the excess refuse all goes into STEM.
So, in short, 95% of brown people go into computer science or business management, whereas say, only 25% of whites go into computer science and business management, for example. With white people already a minority in the under-30 age group in most urban areas of the UK (where I am assuming you are from), it's no surprise. Add to that also the fact that comsci students have a reputation of being nerds, smelling bad, and losers, leading more self-conscious and status-conscious whites to avoid it, well there you have it.
TLDR the Great Replacement is real and is a consequence of the traitorous immigration policy of the past 60 years.
I'm not talking about in field, fricking dipshit. I'm talking about the classes you have to take to get the degree. I haven't used much math either after graduating, but you'll have to do the math to get there. 1/3rd of your major classes will be directly math. That's not including the classes that will involve math like physics, though I hear they aren't requiring anything more than basic physics these days.
People will look at the degree sheet and go "wow that's a lot of math guess I'm choosing a different major". That or they pussy out into applied CS if it's offered.
They're cheap and there's over two billion of them.

Japan: because many big chip manufacturers were japanese.
China and Taïwan : because all american factories were moved there so this was what they had to study to have chance getting a job.

I tried hiring a senior machine learning engineers in Boston and got 150 applications in four weeks. A handful of them were from whites and those guys had surface level understanding and were expert beginners or professional bullshitters. It's pathetic. I'm eastern european btw.
