They value feeling like they live in a home more than financial stability. There was that one episode of "financial audit" where the guy interviewed a literal prostitute who had bought a house and went into debt for thousands of dollars in furniture because of this effect.

Women aged 21-35 make more than men (sometimes even in similar positions). The wagegap is actually starting to become real, and it favors women.

That's my first thought, more women attend college than men, they get women only scholarships that reduce their debt, their agreeableness is more welcome in corpo environments so they're well suited to be cogs in the machine which tend to have higher salaries, they have no/less kids so they're working more.
But it also makes sense that high divorce rates where most of them get to keep the house, and men dying earlier and widows owning the house.
Basically a confluence of factors stemming from feminism. Equality was just a meme to get what they want, and even when they have all the advantages they still want more.

      Anonymous

My first though too. You spend 30+ years lifting up girls while doing absolutely nothing for boys, and we're supposed to be surprised at OP's article. The most elite man might be doing way better than the most elite woman, but those are outliers; I would bet my bottom dollar that the average woman is doing better in life than the average man.

It's been going on even longer than that, at least in leaf country. I remember in the 90s they were talking about muh pay gap and having girls only groups and grants and scholarships from elementary school all the way up to university.
Meanwhile for guys it was like, here's the general scholarships everyone can apply to but won't get unless you're the top 0.001% and here's the racial scholarships you can only apply for if you're not white.

In short, women want to have a stable place to call home and take care of. Men just need somewhere to go to keep out of the weather. All other factors aside - and as long as real estate ownership is allowed to the proletariat in general and regardless of gender - this is the driving reason why, among single persons in particular, women will always own more homes than men.

It's hard to summarize into a succinct paragraph but it really boils down to women getting a pass on accountability accompanied by their sheer, grotesque sense of entitlement. If you want a glimpse into the microcosm of modern women then dig into the WNBA and women's soccer.

I'm not just venting -- it plagues my career. Their work is generally subpar, they deflect work onto their immediate coworkers, it's constant complaining, their default position is blaming others and, objectively, their performance is inferior. The worst part is that everyone collectively just pretends not to notice. Not saying men can't be mouth-breathing morons but the top talent is always a man. Not once -- in the span of my entire career -- have I encountered a woman at work and thought, "Wow, she's really good".

    Good luck boys.

I have. She's 23 now but when I was working with her she was 22. Graduated double major from Columbia, skipped a year in primary. She absolutely had an iq over 140, wouldnt be surprised if it was over 150, and she smoked everyone at coding and data analysis. Yet she quit after about ten months because of burnout and now I think she works part time doing the same thing. Meanwhile I did exactly what you said women do because frick it lol I got paid anyway

Digits of dumbassery. Wtf are you even talking about kek, older people (30+) have always held the reins of power unless under extraordinary circumstances. The issue we're dealing with right now is concentration of wealth and power among an elite (technocrats and their political lackeys), of any age. Social mobility was at a high for boomers which explains their wealth distribution, but has starkly declined and is still declining. A boomer could frick up in high school and still become a manager and rake in high 5 or low 6 figures, whereas a millennial or zoomzoom would stay a permanent wageslave. Lest we forget, even college graduates end up as baristas in current year.

Hate to break it to you but the 'shakers' aren't asking if they're allowed to do it. It's just the current model of careerism:

            >20-29 year olds have energy and motivation but no experience so they do all of the grunt work
            >30-40 year olds have energy and some experience so they do less grunt work and start taking on managerial responsibilities
            >40-50 year olds don't do any grunt work but take on a major managerial responsibilities
            >50-60 year olds still hold managerial positions but should be coasting at this point or retired. Their skills and knowledge are likely obsolete.
            >60 and above and still working means you fricked up somewhere. You're clogging up everything and pissing people off.

My father told me for years if he never met my mother he would still be renting. He had no interest in a home. If it weren't for my mother, he'd be homeless because his wages haven't gone up in 20 years and rent that was once $700 is now $4k in the area we're from. Permanence and stability is a desire of women to receive protection and hypothetically nurture a family. Men will work for literal fricking peanuts to keep him from the recesses of his own mind. My father is losing his shit now that he's retired because he keeps getting ready for work, but no employer to go to. He literally drives around in circles in his car because he doesn't want to be home. He's not the first man I know who's like this.
