Head into history, select delete history and then prevent saving. You can do that on an anon account as well. You shouldn't have recommendations if you do this.

IQfy has a native extension that comes with a filter. You should learn to use it in order to maximize your enjoyment of the site.

I enjoy it, much like I enjoy GNU+Linux which I also use.

How did you make your font so sharp? Which font are you using?

That was Google Chrome Beta on W10 IoT LTSC Enterprise, so I suppose that is how they look default in the browser.

BlockTube. And if you want additional customization you could also install Sponsorblock and maybe Enhancer for Youtube. If you want to simulate subscriptions there's also PocketTube.

The more time passes the more I realize that Youtube is basically just a waste of time. An adult should either be reading books or listening to podcasts about interesting subjects, Youtube is a platform with Mr. Beast and
It's good and all when you're a teenager and it's silly mindless fun, but IMO when you reach age 27-29, you should be seeking out more intellectually stimulating content. I suggest blocking Youtube in your hostsfile

Listening to podcasts is a higher form of brainrot than TikTok let alone YouTube.

Much like AI, YouTube is a tool. It's all about how you use it.
Tutorials and refreshers I sourced for free on youtube helped me tremendously with getting my degree and passing my Engineering exam last year. And those resources were much more accessible and far cheaper than what my father had to use when he did the same 20+ years ago.

Very true. The other anon does have a point, but his description is way off. Youtube isn't just a place for teenagers to wach MrBeast. It is filled with loads of interesting stuff if you know how to search for it, which is why it is so addictive and such a time-sink.

One can argue the same for many forms of media. Just like cable channels of old, the glut of programming available, the sheer amount of garbage churned out, means that you need to seek guides to find something you might enjoy or find productive.
It does not indicate in any way the intrinsic merits of that form of media.

True. Very interesting point, for me at least. Normally the search functions and recommendations algorithms are supposed to replace that, but we all know how that's going. It's funny, but for a while I thought Youtube was on the right track, but then they made them awful again.

Note that you won't be able to find good content just because you block the bad. YT is hard-pressed on quality content. For every fake doctor you got another million with slightly fewer subs.

Stop using any site that has an algorithm. If you want to watch something, find it and watch it, and leave without clicking shit.
