Are you actually able to concentrate and keep focused on what you're reading? I can sit and read a physical book for hours and not get distracted, but if I'm on a computer I'm constantly switching tabs until I forget that I was even trying to read.

I like to read while laying down on my bed but I have the bad habit of holding the book a few centimeters in the air, above and front of my face. At first everything is okay but soon enough I start to feel the strain on my arms (my left one in particular)

I'm often reading books on a screen in front of me while sitting at a desk. This is also how I have written books and do a lot of writing in general. If you hunch over for long periods of time, it can affect your posture.
I regularly change positions. It is not difficult, listen to your body and respond, your body will thank you.
