If you've been on a Boeing plane in the past several years, you already have flown on something where at least the software was made by Pajeets. That was revealed when the first issues with the 737 Max came to light.

Different anon. Airplanes are in service for literally decades. Although yes, some of the new modules on old planes might have poojeet developers, the older and more critical software definitely does not.

As a European this delights me, as one would think that shit like this would improve Airbus’s dominance on the market. On the other hand it frightens me that this mode of operation seems to be highly profitable in market terms and this kind of leadership might just displace more responsible actors on the market. Also the US probably engages in some form of foreign policy bullying and blackmail to sell their Made American stuff to other countries so it’s hard to compete against that.

Protectionism is still strong, it's just that where I work we offload the "not protected" stuff as hard as possible to 3rd parties. It's insane and why nothing works either. But whatever.

I kek how some of these deluded aerocuck companies think they'll get ITAR exceptions from the state department for Indian workers. It's that bad though. They're desperate to kill costs to the point of adding costs forcing American wagies like me to basically liaison Indian shit into American "export controlled" systems.

          >Protectionism is still strong
Government exists to serve the citizens, not the other way around. Not protecting their careers (i.e. ability to survive and thrive) and critical national industries is what's wrong. Yes, there has to be balance. At some point protecting field X might hurt everyone else and the country much more than allowing imports, even in terms of job count. But the U.S. government literally doesn't even enforce the insufficient protections that are currently law.

H1B, for example, is a fricking joke. The law says you cannot fire an American to hire an H1B, and you cannot hire an H1B when qualified Americans have applied. Yet that happens every single day. Over the last two decades large scale incidents have been reported on repeatedly by the news media (BofA, SCE, Disney, etc) with hard evidence the law was broken. Yet no one is prosecuted. The U.S. government is literally a joke.

it's even worse than this. instead of at least being fair about not enforcing the law (i.e. dudeweedlmao being de facto legal), the US government enforces it selectively and arbitrarily based on bribes or political expedience. it basically uses enforcement of the law as a weapon, and it's considered totally normal political practice despite being literal fascist homosexualry.
