How is this company so incompetently run?

How is this company so incompetently run? They could be advertising how Firefox is the only browser that supports full ad-blocking, fully featured extensions and how they're not bound by the whims of Chromium. They could hit a home run with this. Their potential revival is being handed to them on a plate by Google's actions.

Instead, they're busy doing... this

But the real question is: Did it stop you from using it?

I did for a short while because the Firefox wouldn't release memory (no matter what I did in about:memory and about:unloads) without closing and re-opening the browser and I tried Brave which actually gave back my memory, but Brave stutters on YouTube videos which is a deal-breaker so I'm back on this least-shittiest browser.

Funny firefox takes 4conds to load a video and brave foes not for me

NTA but I usually run a debloated Firefox (+uBO) and debloated Brave (+Shields) and they mostly perform sameish on 99% of sites while on some specific sites firefox really shits the bed for some reason, and firefox in general on my laptop at least drains battery much worse and makes my laptop heat up and use more CPU during playing/streaming videos. Chromium is just better in terms of performance but it's not as pronounced anymore as it used to be a few years back.

holy frick i thought i was the only mf experiencing this. those 200 - 400MB of memory on each youtube tab wouldn't be released even after hours of closing em. ever since i switched to linux mint from windows, memory management seems to be better. idk if it was a windows thing or what.

Yes it did, I was an avid Firefox user until 2019, Proton UI was the last straw for me, couple that with poor optimization and lack luster performance compared to Chromium and you have a recipe for disaster.

I moved to Brave in 2020 and never looked back, I only fall back to Firefox when some sites don't render properly in Brave.

Because mozilla foundation exists to keep google from being a total monopoly by using google money you dum dum

Firefox is decent in spite of the cancerous hybrid Mozilla corporation/foundation.

Yes, it's just a placeholder, so google can deny they have a monopoly.

As long as they allow extensive configuration, you can be an unironic proud "right winger" to make the SJWs seethe.

It's not decent though. Every now and then I'll use firefox and try to gaslight myself into thinking it's actually good but it's not. It's slow, it's shit, it crashes, and then I go back to ungoogled-chromium

You'll be a fool using vanilla firefox, it's a piece of shit. What gives firefox an advantage to chromium, is that it's more customizable, you can literally make it your own, or you can download a fork, like librewolf, or japanese firefox (aka floorp,) or install a user.js, you can play with userchrome.css if you're autistic enough. I don't stand with troonyfox btw, it's just the best thing you can use right now tbh, until the world becomes a utopia and then we can get a good browser, or some autistic anons make it, instead of (like sheep) relying on those satanic corporations to serve us, maybe in some alternative universe KEK. Chromium is better for webapps ngl. so use the best tool for the job, isn't that the purpose of software in the first place?

I really like firefox, but I simply cannot stand Mozilla. I feel bad for using firefox because I'm helping to increase their market share, thus I'm justifying all the money that investors put in the Mozilla foundation.
Is there any decent browser I can use besides of Firefox? I already tried ungoogled chromium, but having to compile everything from source on my 4Gb + Celeron is too much.

Mozilla is in a difficult position. 90% of their revenue and funding comes from the google's deal, and that's objectively the reason why they can't advertise themselves as an anti adsense browser since that'd completely ruin any relations with google the primary advertising company. The whole DEI stuff is done primarily because it's an easy way to practice activism and pretend to be holier than thou while not getting jack shit actually done. Firefox is still very important because objectively only Mozilla and Brave are the two corpos/organizations large enough to support a proper FOSS private and secure browser that doesn't just instantly die if they don't have something to leech of of like smaller one-two team lead browsers like LibreWolf, Thorium, Ungoogled, Mull, Palemoon, Floorp etc. Now for Brave it's easier to be blatantly anti google and anti ads because their entire system doesn't rely on a google deal and they back other shady shit like Crypto, NFTs, their own ads, etc which gets them funding. I personally gave up on trying to get a "perfect" browser because they don't exist. I just use a happy medium of Firefox or Brave depending on how I'm feeling and how they are treating me with web searching and bugs/issues, as they are the only ones who all other privacy oriented browsers rely on and get inspiration/code from.

      This is the true answer.
In the current situation, it's not possible to make a long term project just for the goodness of it. Funding is necessary and in amounts that can't be gotten without engaging in dubious or unethical practices.

Isn't it funny that people don't really want a solution, they just want to cry, and victimize themselves to feel good. I believe that if people stood up and funded the making of a browser, or the entire Internet, or the entire world, they could make something that is from the people to the people, to serve them, rather than to serve the tool. When people understand that power is in their hands, and that the path to change is not by barking in the streets with stupid signs, then we can have a system in which the interest of the people is the highest priority. But sheep will remain sheep, and I know that world will remain forever locked in my skull.

FF x86's temp containers and iOS safari's incognito mode are the only browsers I know that support per tab cookie isolation, it's the 1 thing I know of iOS has over android. FF on Android not having a default to desktop site option must be a condition imposed by googles bribe $, why else would ff be the only browser to lack such a basic feature?

I hope you gays realize that if none of you use firefox and it inevitably dies that way, then all of those derivatives that are firefox based will instantly die as well. They don't have dev teams large enough or enough funding to keep up with security patching and adding new features and web support. The use case of firefox is that literally all other FOSS privacy oriented browsers die without it.

Firstly, Mozilla is a leftist political organization and Firefox is their money laundering scheme. They have no incentive to improve the browser, as doing so could potentially force Google's hand at cutting off support.

Listen anon, in a world where evil rule, the good is forbidden. The only way to survive in hell, is to be a devil. Mozilla is owned by google, and ran by gays, like most of the FOSS space. In the Foss space the devs are either gays, or they're the most based mfs. Just use the software as a software, and let the gays serve you, while you can help the based.
