I work with a guy who has read all these books. He reads a self help/get to the top book a week. He the fakest most annoying, and most unhappy person I think I have ever met. He is married with a young child but always complains about them. He always has a speech for a topic no one cares about. He is completely fake and insincere. A very disturbed person.

I read The Art of War but know most of the other ones. They're garbage books that produce garbage men. The books you should be reading are:

    >any books of classic philosophy
    >books by therapists pertaining to any past trauma or abuse you've experienced
    >books related to your career
    >books related to areas of your life you suck at (e.g., Eight Dates if you suck with women)

Everything that the OP books promise, like more money, friends, women, etc., will come naturally and at a higher quality by reading the above books. Your life sucks and you suck mostly because your mind is full of garbage and you need to better educate yourself and become more emotionally intelligent and resilient.

Every man on earth should read this book.

Haven't read it, but the idea is that you can work on solitary personal stuff while your family is still sleeping and your work day hasn't started yet.

I do this. Not waking up at 5am, but staying up then sleeping later. It's very comfortable and I like being able to have complete silence when working or reading, it feels like the world is dead and I'm the only one around. I'm not sure why you would need a book to tell you this, though.

        How many have you read?

I've read The Art of War, and some of How to Win Friends and Influence People, both as a kid. The first one is pretty good and interesting, should be read if only for its negligible length. The second one is meh iirc, maybe some useful information if you're not good with people but overdo it and you'll come off as psychopathic and insincere. My freshman year roommate had Rich Dad Poor Dad on his desk. He was an okay guy - very rich, smoked too much weed and had some aspirations but wasn't passionate enough to work on them. Very good looking and stylish as rich people usually are. Wasted all of his money on decorating his room then said "I'm thinking about applying for food stamps, I mean we're poor college kids right?" No homie, I am the poor college kid, you have a fricking gold ring + diamond on your finger. Either way I could talk to him for awhile and felt comfortable, he wasn't an butthole.
