India *literally* has the highest proportion of Linux users than any other country by far.

Split them up into their atomic components, revoke their frivolous patents, open source their abandonware, separate them from the US government and actually enforce antitrust legislation.
The core issue with Microsoft is their ability to engage in their standard company motto of EEE, since that just allows them to frick with the market and declare themselves king of shit mountain rather than improve their products.

MIT is a cuck license and not viral. It leaves too much wiggle room for corporate bullshit.

Exit the end-user OS / device market.
        Discontinue NT development.
        Discontinue non-business software.
Eliminate the win32 team and just adopt Wine.
That gets rid of all their distractions.

Go all-in on hosted business services including AI, as well as a secure hosted legacy support environment built on Linux+Wine.
        >sure you can keep using your thing you wrote for Windows XP
        >but for gods sake run it on our hosted environment which is constantly backed up and audited for malware

Build a WASM/WebGPU gaming solution that runs everywhere.
Use that as the replacement for Xbox and their subscription service.
Spin that whole division off as its own thing.

Sure they could open source NT, but what in there is actually valuable?

Yeah OK Bill, no one is going to pay you for the computer time you were so salty about.

Strip out all the "bloat" from windows. Return the look and GUI to the 2000 era style. No store or AI bullshit either. You know take it back to when an OS was just that. Function over "flash". Imagine a 2000 era windows updated for modern hardware. Thing would fly so fast you'd get whiplash.
