I am about to finish my CS degree and I've learned nothing, I only know basic coding. Should I kill myself?

No, do as I did when it was you, Buy a C++20 compdendium book and start reading.
After you're done reading, write a simple game engine with enough abstraction to be modular.
Use threads templates and meta wherever possible. This will increase your skill dramatically.

This is how I learned C++ within four months.
I'm not telling you to learn the entirety of STL which is impossible. You'll learn how to use STL proficiently while writing your game engine and that's the whole point.

    > be me
    > meet some dude working at some shop at some ungodly hour
    > indian or some shit
    > looks tired. ask why he's about to pass out
    > he studies during the day, trying to study for cs
    > tells me about important assignment: a website that handles PHP
    > i asked what is so important
    > he says he has to pass data to a database. this assignment is part of an exam
    > he's paying thousands of dollars a year to do this and he's being taught shit anyone can learn in an afternoon
    > ask him are they teaching him how to program, some mumbling about the basics of python and javascript. that's it.
every motherfricker and his dog has a "cs" degree in a market full of cs degrees and people with mediocre computer skills.

coding isn't hard to learn, you were supposed to pay attention to the architectural stuff and formalisms so you can make better designs

That's all you need to get a lot of junior jobs. Just think of random apps to make and make them.

Nothing special - make a basic little game, find an API online like weather or spotify and present the data in a palatable way, anything you can think of. Just make shit that you can fill out a portfolio and keep learning new shit online. Your degree is basically a bouncing board to get you started. You're on your own now, Anon.

    It's literally fine anon.
Uni is not there to really teach you shit in-depth, it's there to
    >teach you how to learn new shit quickly and be able to find information fast
    >be in an environment with like-minded and autistic people
    >profs often are full-time researchers with hundreds of papers that also give lectures to you, they do research on cutting edge shit that might be used in 5/10 years worldwide and you have the possibility to collaborate on one of their projects
For everything else you need to learn it yourself.
    >b-b-but I got a $500k debt for this shit
    Fair price
