Whether or not you're happy has nothing to do with God. It simply doesn't. Even to a theist, God is not an omnipresent being that has much influence over their emotions. Happiness comes from within. The world makes me happy, people make me happy, the stars make me happy. And these are things I know for a fact exist in a real and physical way, which is even better. God could still exist, but on the chance he doesn't, I know I don't need him to be happy. In fact nobody really does. Maybe reading the Bible makes you happy, and if it does that's great. But the Bible could exist even if God doesn't

Honestly, I would be okay if people like you just killed yourselves. I know that sounds blunt, but its pretty clear whatever mental illness you were cursed with has made you functionallly incompatible with the very world you live in. I never understood how believing in God is supposed to give your life more meaning. If there is a God he is ambivalent or cruel to his creation.
The meaning simply comes from the idea that there are metaphysical forces the promise you something more significant beyond the physical world that people are not fully capable of understanding. Atheism tries to do the same thing with Cosmology but with supernatural elements stripped from it. Both ultimately derive meaning from the same basic concept, that any claim made with regards to the metaphysical holds equal validity since its not falsifiable
What does cosmology promise you beyond the physical world?
