Because Intel are fricking up they've been failing upward since 2015
When I saw this scene in theaters, I knew the movie was gonna be bad. And it was. And then its follow up was so hilariously bad most people forgot it even happened.

Intel uses ADL dies for low end xeon's. Its way smaller than the smallest ice lake so its still cheaper. However the funny bit with that is they then fuse off the e-cores. Almost like intel refuses to sell fully enabled silicon
That's good to hear. It's on so many processors (Skylake and up IIRC) and just isn't available. It would be a massive boon for Intel CPUs if they actually used it or implemented it in any meaningful way.

Probably because removing it would involve too much work. 512 simd takes up a lot of space. You'd have to layout everything again and retest it.
If it's fused off why the frick is it taking up die space. I'd much rather have more cores or, better yet, functional AVX-512

Not on my 12900k, works great too, just have to disable E-cores if I want to use it in BIOS.
