    If it's fused off why the frick is it taking up die space. I'd much rather have more cores or, better yet, functional AVX-512

      Probably because removing it would involve too much work. 512 simd takes up a lot of space. You'd have to layout everything again and retest it.

      Intel uses ADL dies for low end xeon's. Its way smaller than the smallest ice lake so its still cheaper. However the funny bit with that is they then fuse off the e-cores. Almost like intel refuses to sell fully enabled silicon

      Not on my 12900k, works great too, just have to disable E-cores if I want to use it in BIOS.

        That's good to hear. It's on so many processors (Skylake and up IIRC) and just isn't available. It would be a massive boon for Intel CPUs if they actually used it or implemented it in any meaningful way.
