I dont think Christians fully understand the mindset of a secular person. Lets say you have two groups of people.

I don’t think Christians fully understand the mindset of a secular person.
Let’s say you have two groups of people. Group A doesn’t believe in fairies and Group B does. B claims they can do magic sometimes when invoked and are immaterial though they can show up in reality and interfere with it.
Group B tells A they believe in fairies but A doesn’t believe them. Also it is group B’s belief that they are supposed to spread belief in fairies, it’s called Fairyism
Group A is not obligated to do really anything.
If B wants A to believe, what they have to do is invoke the fairies to perform magic on display for A, or to make the fairies show up. The best move would be to do it in a lab setting with instruments.
If they can’t do any of this, group A is totally justified in not believing B, and the madder B gets, the pettier and more confrontational they get, the worse they look while also not convincing anyone.
This is what it’s like to talk to people who believe in religions and gods.

They do. Most of them are former fedora-tipping atheists anyway. They just don't care about arguing in good faith.

All these definitions of religion atheists throw around seem to never apply to Christianity, it's like you guys don't even understand it

      Ok, define "religion".

What don’t I understand based on that analogy? God is supposed to be able to answer prayers at least some of the time.

I don't think a vast majority of Christians believe in God because they saw some magic, that's a strawman that the new atheists liked to throw around

Yeah looks like most of them were raised in it from childhood. For the rest of us, you need to convince us.
In not telling you what it’s like for Christians, I’m telling you what it’s like for non-Christians being preached to. That’s the entire point.

Summing up: A, who doesn't believe, will only come to accept the supernatural when B, who believes, shows evidence of it. In any way, B, has to demonstrate the faith claims that were made and convince A.
How in the fricking frick are you saying Christians don't get this basic shit?! Especially when it's the whole point of proselytiziing someone!

Everyone at work. Boss has never been seen. B believes there is a boss, A does not. A is slacking, stealing supplies, just fricking around and not doing their job. B warns A there is a boss and he will show up suddenly. A wants B to prove boss actually exist and will come. B cannot. A mocks B and continue fricking around. One day boss arrives, B is caught doing their job. A is caught slacking, stealing and fricking around. B gets huge raise, extra benefits and many get promotions. A gets fired and prosecuted for stealing.

How does A's disbelief hurt B in any way? They are just warning A for their own good. A doesnt really have to believe B but at the end of the day it's on them. Foolish of them to believe a workplace was built on its own and has no boss.

Well first everyone sees their boss and is introduced to their boss.
But back to my analogy that you’re not addressing, fairyisn and Christianity dictate that you spread the religion, it’s actually your job as a fairyist or a Christian to do that.

This is just not true. Also what proof of a fairy are you looking for exactly?

Don’t know what job you’ve had buddy, but it’s extremely weird if you’ve never even met your manager on a zoom/teams call especially if you’re at an actual physical on site job.
Anyway for the actual topic, re-read the op. I don’t believe in fairies, it would be on you to prove they exist. Going to keep living my life otherwise.

Atheism is the null hypothesis, you have to give enough evidence to reject the null hypothesis, so far there has never EVER BEEN any sufficient evidence in any religion ever to reject the null hypothesis here

it's a truth claim like any other, there is plenty of reasonable evidence for the Christian God and the only argument against him that has lasted is the anti-intellectual argument from evil

That is why they're so proud and arrogant. Their intellect is their own god because they think they know it all, they have it all figured out. Usually the ones who fall the hardest, their god cannot catch them before they hit the floor since their god is themselves and it is falling.

Even if you die, you will see the day he arrives because everyone will rise from death to see it and be judged. How long do you have to live? 30 - 50 more years? It is a very short time from now and you will see it.

Even if it takes another 2 thousand years, you just have until the day you die. You wont live 2 thousand years to have wait that long. You will die soon in the blink of an eye the 2 thousand years have passed and you're being judged. So judging by this, the day really is right at the door and comes like a thief in the night, because that day is the day of your death. It can come at any moment.

That's how people who sell insurances for useless shit work. First they say you're gonna come across some big shit one day. 50 years and you keep paying on time for your insurance. Then when the day finally comes where you get into an accident, the insurance company refuses to pay by saying it was beyond their control or something.
How am I supposed to know that YOUR God is the real God, and that you're not actually just hiding the real God from me, Brahman, Mithra, or whatever?

What are you paying though? You fighting against the advice to be good and humble and loving and be merciful and compassionate and love your neighbors and be generous and help the poor. How horrible thing to ask from you, what a waste of life amiright?. Spending all your life being good when you could have spent it being evil. lol.

What would the real God ask of you if not to be good? You think the Actual God would hate a good hearted person simply because he is in the wrong religion? When you bow down just dedicate your prayers to the Real God. When you worship dedicate your worship to the True God. The name wouldn't matter, the one who is the Actual God will be the one who hear your prayers and he is the one who will guide and help you.

No one is going to read or engage with your copewall OP. Atheism is a belief, defining it as a lack of belief is just saying the same thing in different terms. If Atheism is so self-evidently true, then why can none of them just be honest about their belief?
