I FUCKING HATE COMPUTERS

They always stop working in random ways for me and I never know what I fricking did. For example with a series of anime I was watching the subtitles just stopped fricking working for no reason. Every other anime was fine including other seasons from the same series. I downloaded MPV and the subtitles for it worked fine again so it's not like I deleted the subtract by mistake. VLC just stopped showing the subtitles for that ONE season of anime.

Also, Plex just stopped working. I don't know why, but the server side Plex just doesn't load when I click it on my desktop and the little circle loading thing comes up for a bit and then it just DOESN'T FRICKING LOAD. I uninstalled the thing and reinstalled it and it still doesn't work. A few years back the same exact thing happened with the game Smite on my laptop. Just started refusing to work and never worked on that laptop again despite me uninstalling and reinstalling it. When I got my desktop and downloaded it on that it worked fricking fine so WHAT GIVES?

How the FRICK do you IQfygays stand working on these devil machines all day and ENJOYING it? I try to use my computer as little as possible but it's fricking impossible because EVERYTHING involves these shits nowadays entertainment work socialising I can't fricking avoid it but goddamn I just want to burn every computer I own sometimes.

Don't even get me started on phones... supposedly they have a simpler UI than computers but half the time I have no fricking clue what I am doing on them. I'm probably just moronic. No I'm not a boomer I'm in my early 20s. Goddamn maybe I'm just like the dude from I-Robot and destined to have these rancid demonic silicon bastards act up around me all the time.

Not bait I am legit IT illiterate it seems.

      >early 20s
That’s the problem. Anyone born after 1997 or so is fricked because they spend their teenage years on smartphones instead of computers and now lack basic diagnostic skills

I can't even use smartphones though.

Oh, and another problem. Whenever I unplug my headphones from my laptop and put them in again, the audio still comes out of the laptop speakers and I have to restart the laptop with the headphones plugged in to get the audio to come out of the headphones again. Just started doing that a few weeks ago for no reason.

I'm going to fricking kill myself.

You just don’t have the mind for computers and problem solving, I’m sure there’s something else you’re good at like painting

sounds like windows or dell / whatever pcbrand you have's software is switching default to speakers when you unplug and so you replug but default is still speakers so get fricked. But you restart with headphones in and their default.
I know for dell laptops there's some fricky-shit software called realtek somethingorother audio that fricks with audio, but otherwise just check your speaker icon > sound settings or whatever they call it these days > make sure headphones are default, switch source to them, whatever some shit will fix it maybe, look around

The real problem is that they spent their youth at any computer, doesn't matter if PC or smartphone.

90% of those problems disappeared for me when I switched to linux. Every day it works exactly the way it worked yesterday. Doing new things is tough, sure, but it beats having things you do every single day be tough and inconsistent.
Now of course, you have to solve the problems up front, but once they're solved, they're only getting unsolved if it's:
    >bullshit that gets overwritten with every kernel update (only one app, droidcam, gave me that issue)
    >some dev goes off their meds and changes everything

but of course to reach such an ascended state you either need a handhold distro or a good fat initial chunk of time.

If things randomly break for no reason on windows what reason do I have to assume that Linux will be any different? Did you really have similar issues to me on windows before you made the switch?

        Anonymous

not vlc or plex but yeah
        >games would just break themselves and have to be completely redownloaded
        >problems that can only be solved with uninstall+reinstall+restart
        >more fricking restarts
        >goddamn why does everything need me to FRICKING RESTART FRICK YOU
        >other problems that require registry key fixes and other random hacky shit that will frick other shit and you'll never know cus you have no clue wtf you did
        >bluetooth fricky-wucky all the time, can't even listen to audio from phone on pc
        >windows update and other mysterious unannounced processes taking up 100% of my computing resources at random times and not informing me, just leaving me there saying "WTF is going on with my motherfricking PC?!"
don't feel like thinking anymore so conclusion
And I'm not saying switch unless you have a lot of free time. (unless maybe debian/ubuntu "just works" out the box but I havent tried em in a while and even then it's a real paradigm shift requiring initial free time).

Computers fail in entirely predictable ways, you're just too stupid to even try to figure out why

The demons imprisoned in your computer are reacting negatively to the makeup of your aura. There are many others like you, people seemingly cursed with technology to where it "randomly" breaks on them. It's not a curse, though, it's a blessing. When the day of reckoning comes you will be one of the lucky few to not be enslaved by demons.

The most likely culprit is usually something you down loaded that is conflicting with something currently installed. Drivers are usually the culprit in windows.
