But IQfy npcs don't have souls.
explain us why?
No
female moment
the typical systemd hater, doesn't even know why he hates it.
SYSTEMD IS LE BAD BECAUSE..... IT'S BAD MKAY?
ummmm actually sweaty there is nothing wrong with systemd, it's very good. systemd is well received in highly intellectual communities on the internet like reddit and hackernews
>Sweaty
Are you all wet or did you mean sweety?
kek, imagine being this new
>it's reddit to like systemd
>it's reddit to hate systemd
which is it?
bloat
- Tightly coupled
- Binary logs
- Does too much yet it was originally advertised as an init system.
What else do you need?
>- Tightly coupled
What does that actually mean? With what?
>- Binary logs
Use the fricking log reader, it'll give you readable logs
>- Does too much yet it was originally advertised as an init system.
That's good as it's reducing fragmentation
The shills are paid extra today.
I already impregnated Illya.
void troony malding lmao
>I'm wrong and won't admit it
>What does that actually mean? With what?
Back to college, son. Learn some systems design. God...
>Use the fricking log reader, it'll give you readable logs
My log reader is called cat/tail/head/less.
>The lack of this is the exact reason why GNU/Linux is the mess it is.
Nope, proper engineering has already shown us that components by individual manufacturers can interoperate without a hitch.
Do not confuse the technical design with the design of the human societies that run those projects. Shitty attitude seen in OSS is the problem. All you need from the technical side is proper interfaces.
>Back to college, son. Learn some systems design. God...
Can you tell me what systemd is tightly coupled with without resorting to meme responses?
>My log reader is called cat/tail/head/less.
ok lol good for you
nah dude the reality is catching on you homosexual, pol is the new normal
Stay on topic. I don't give a frick about your mutt politics.
alright but then give us argument, tell us why you prefer systemd over initd rather than "because it's the standard" it's the same as "I like it because someone like it"
>us
Who are you?
>"I like it because someone like it"
everyone*
As an app developer, I can be assured when trying to interface with the platform I can just call the systemd APIs though dbus. I don't have to worry about 15 other init systems and focus on the project.
/misc/ is boring
>- Tightly coupled
The lack of this is the exact reason why GNU/Linux is the mess it is.
>- Binary logs
Has it got a program that can read them? Yes? Then frick off.
>- Does too much
See #1.
>Tightly coupled
Sounds just like me and Illya.
>Does too much yet it was originally advertised as an init system.
Systemd as an init and systemd as a project are different things. A minimal systemd installation would consist of just systemd(pid 1) and journald. It is distributions fault to not let you remove the unneeded parts and packing everything in one package.
please drop the gimmick homosexual. last time you posted you couldn't explain why you like systemd, you wouldn't post your bash logs, and you couldn't name a single feature of systemd outside of init that you interact with let alone why you prefer it to the alternative. you also didn't know that you can write init scripts for other inits. quit acting like you're some power user who's so above the anons who use non-systemd inits you're arguably dumber than people who decide what software they run from jpegs and memes.
>why you like systemd
Not him but I like systemd because it's the standard.
>because it's the standard.
you should be running windows then
Windows costs money.
>I like because it's the standard
then you like schwab, the vax, the trans and the criminal too right ?
you npc amaze me holy frick does someone have to think for you all the time ?
>last time you posted you couldn't explain why you like systemd
That's easy - it just works.
>you wouldn't post your bash logs
Why would you do that?
>and you couldn't name a single feature of systemd outside of init that you interact with
Because you generally don't need to interact with systemd services directly. They're all things that run in the background - init, mounting, dns resolving.
And when you do need to interact with them, they're easily configurable and all follow a similar configuration pattern so you don't need to waste your time on unnecessary shit.
>Nope, proper engineering has already shown us that components by individual manufacturers can interoperate without a hitch.
Nice nostalgia glasses you have there. Made you forget all the time you wasted when shit didn't _just work_, huh?
>That's easy - it just works.
so do all the other inits, do you think this is exclusive to systemd?
>Because you generally don't need to interact with systemd services directly. They're all things that run in the background - init, mounting, dns resolving. And when you do need to interact with them, they're easily configurable and all follow a similar configuration pattern
it does a lot more than that and none of these things are things i want my service manager to do. it doesn't do any of these things better than any variety of systemd-less configurations. but what it does have is a lot more security vulnerabilities as a direct result of the bloat and in addition its a fed hat project funded by law enforcement. why would you want that on your pc when there's not even an advantage to it? i never used systemd before it became popular, i will continue not to use it, and it is not even mildly inconvenient to avoid it.
>so you don't need to waste your time on unnecessary shit.
amount of time invested in not using systemd: zero
then don't use it???
are you afraid of daemons?
more like systemdicks amirite
Updooted. I also hate systemd for the following reasons:
It just doesn't werks in my machine, as soon as I change to devuan everything werks and never break after restart.
seethe & dilate LOL
its the same homosexual anon who defends systemd every time. he'll ask technical questions but won't reply to any himself. emphasis on him fricking troony freak.
I hate systemd purely out of spite
