and then teddit was made for reddit
all 3 of these are self hostable, so many instances exist. There are also browser addons to switch to them instead of using youtube/twitter/reddit

You use an RSS feed of the account you want to follow instead of being of the birdsite

Block the popup and the gray overlay with uBlock Origin.
Make an account and follow what you want, get a userscript to remove verified tweets and the recommendations. Be normal and stop overthinking it so much.
