cheap inland or adata small 128-256gb ssd's for 15/20$ my problem is finding old ram ebay is acting like vintage computer shit is somehow worth more than scrapping it for the precious metals and is regularly at the same price of new tech per gb

I'd probably just sell them as is and write that you need to install ram and ssd. Many people have extra ssds lying around after upgrading, and ram is inexpensive these days.
I'd probably buy one if the price was decent and it was fairly good.

1) the number of laptops of that age that will run greater than 64gb ram is quite small
2) availability - here in Aus local supply (of ddr3/4 sodimm specifically) is VERY limited
3) so I buy off some aliexpress teir supplier and cross muh fingers & hope?

When I bought my thinkpad, I replaced the hardrive and ram. Just make sure they work and take pictures of them working and they will be no problem to sell.
