I have an air purifier. It circulates air in the room.

I have an air purifier. It circulates air in the room. The air enters the purifier, passes through three filters, and is then fanned out the top of the machine.

What are my options to use this air purifier to cool my room? It's essentially just a fan that cleans air before blowing it out.

less particulate matter in the air means less friction in the air means less heat energy transfer into the room, dumbass.

The 0.00000001% less friction are completely offset by the 30W fan heating up your room. Jesus man reading your brain diarrhea could cause some poor fricks around here to lose IQ points and we all know just like you they don't have any points to spare.

No, it actually does not mean that. If it did mean that, then the answer to OP's question would be "turn it on"

The 10w or more your air purifier consumes while running is probably a million times more energy being used in the room than you're saving from reducing particulate friction in the air.

The IKEA FÖRNUFTIG is like 14 W tops, but it's far from the most powerful one on the market.

shit, sucks to be me.. which filter do you have/rec?

If opening your window doesn't get you clean air, you need to move.

I have an Electrolux EAP300, but it's big, bulky, ugly and the filters are not cheap. If I was this all over again, I'd probably go with an IKEA.

I'd also give thought to wall-mountability, since having a big ugly box eating up floor space sucks.

They cap out at 15-20w for the fan.
Maybe a additional 30-40w for the ionizer if it has one.
Ionizer is underestimated, as it makes the air taste significantly sweeter.

But beyond that everything is the same:
      A fan
A filter that may or may not be HEPA
Maybe UV or Ionizer for cleaning.
Carbon filter usually wears to shit in a few weeks.
Prefilter double or triples lifetime, but only if you bother tossing it into a washing machine once a month.

i was thinking about making my one air filter with a inline duct fan + f150 air filter ( i think they have hepa ones). Any thoughts?

      Just do it.
Its worth it it even if all you are removing is some pollen and torn fibers.
